So I guess the forward-thinking and pro-active among us will empty out our penny jars and go and pick up those mk5 escorts and mondeos and store them...? Just me...?

me too, i had the chance to get a mk2 2 door for £800, a mk1 2door for summin like £400, and (this may not interest you but) a bay window vw camper for £800. all had everything with them an mot.

imagine what money i could get for them now.

say £3000 for 1300e mk1, £2000 for sport mk2 and £10,000 for van. :oops:

wish i'd have passed my test at 17. and had the most important thing.... money. :sad:

bet ye won't be looking at todays prices and saying in a few years ...phew they were cheap then....

 

going by Reteo ford's add's pages.....there ain't any Mk1 left.. :oops:

and the constant decrease in the Classic ford mag is now being replaced by Mk1/mk2 fiesta.......are they the bargin cars now :roll:

It's only the Escort values that have shot up!

Capri's, Cortina's & Anglia Prices have risen but not to the ridiculous unaffordable level of Escorts.

:sad: its sad, a few years back my dad sold a MINT mk1 2 door £20 :evil: £20!!! :sad:

 

 

but, there is cheap ones out there still.. got to go out hunting tho
