I have a bit of a dilema!!

Do i leave the 28/36 Weber carb on the GT (as it's running SWEET at the mo) or get the twin 40's fitted before the MK 1 Cortina National Rally & drive all the way to Stratford with them on Wondering about how much the juice is gonna cost me getting there & back too

Hello chud stick with the gt carb unless you have lots of spare time, I have just ended up taking my built engine out as it ran so bad on the 40's without a rolling road setup forget it if they are not quite wright lots of grief, leave it until you have lots of time.

Get the 40's on there, a RR set up isn't that expensive and the fuel economy only suffers massively if you hammer it everywhere.

if you are still using the pre cross you will need elec fuel pump fuel regulator pipe from boot inlets for pre cross allen key bolts for manifolds ( you can't get bolts in ) modified throttle pedal to fit cable, but it does sound the nads not to put you off.

Hiyah mate,yep i'm still running a pre-cross,i've got a Facet silver top pump,filter king regulator + guage,overhaul kits for 40's,misab washers,braided fuel hose and new trumpets all from Burtons courtesy of Jeff Harris who very kindly picked these up for me need to get bit for throttle pedal still but don't worry you have'nt put me off matey!
