I turned 16 (although i got my birthday wrong over there <--, how do i change it??) a few months back and from then until now have beeen unable to work. broken collar bone AND THEN broken ankle... i swear "if it wasn't for bad luck i'd have none at all" :P

anyways, i have been eager to work some where outside of the family bussiness which i have done since i could, and if i couldn't work i was watching my dad do it :D, but with my injuries its all been very frustrating.

just wondering what your first jobs where just top give me a bit of inspiration  i really want to do something in cars... but all you get to do in a garage when your 16 is make tea and change oil and spark plugs :?

i'll do it if its all i CAN do in cars, but i'd really like to get a job at a car restoring place or something... hmm

anyways first jobs every one??

if you can cast your minds back...

i joke

thanks all!

yeahh i have no problem working on cars its a piece of piss really, just like the capri out the back :P

i have worked on modern cars A LOT. but its always been the locks/immobilisers etc because i've always worked with my dad as an automotive locksmith.

its just that i think garages aren't gonna let me do much at first, they don't know im obsessed with cars do they..... they'll find out though

how do you get a job like panel beater and sprayer? what sort of training do you need??

thats the kind of job i'm interested in.

I did an apprentiship which payed £63 a week  I did it for about a year and a half, then the firm went bust. I then worked at a bodyshop at Brands (next door to H.T Racing). Worked there for 2 years or so, then that firm went bust

I'm an ICT Systems Engineer now
