Rick Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 thats really cool mate! can you rotate that all in 3d? just keep adding to it you may aswell build the whole car and animate it awesome work. where do i get a copy of that programme?
Wessie Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 nice work johnson im building a manifold at the moment, and last year i made a crank, rods pistons etc i really want to get good at solidworks but its bloody difficult i need to design a diff cradle, rear wishbones, hubs and a spaceframe for my project this year
Johnson Posted September 16, 2008 Author Report Posted September 16, 2008 TBH, this render is very basic and not really to scale, i was just drawing bits up from memory and photos. i use solid works alot at work and it is ace. im drawing all the flanges and brackets for my new engine conversion. ready to get it CNC machined in the workshops out back i drew my car up ages ago. but again its not very accurate
Johnson Posted September 16, 2008 Author Report Posted September 16, 2008 Wessie post up some pics of what you have been up to mate il dig out some of my old projects that me and friends started drawing up.
Wessie Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 i'll try and post them up on thursday when im next at uni, its only basic stuff though
Johnson Posted September 16, 2008 Author Report Posted September 16, 2008 what course are you on??? ive just finished uni, studying industrial design
Wessie Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 HND motorsport engineering, im more inclined to scribble a picture on a piece of paper then play on the computer, but i need to get good on solidworks to design my spaceframe im building this year - solidworks is awesome if your good - which im not !
