more home customising..

not tryin to teach the pro painters how to suck eggs but thought you may like to see what ive done today..

 

blasted and painted the covers in daytona yellow, same as my car,

masked off what i wanted to pick out in silver with 3mm fine lining tape.

 

then masked off what i didnt want to paint

 

gave em quick coat of primer then 3 flash coats of mettalic silver

 

let dry for 15 mins and carefully peel off masking tape .

ive yet to laquer and buff em up but il leave it for a coupla days to let the paint harden off.

 

probably not to everyones taste but i like em

ta guys, ive always paid attention to detail, im not the best of mechanics but pretty good with cosmetics, spent a lot of years restoring classic motorcycles.

 

ps has anyone got one of the camcover washers spare, ive lost one.

thats all a 'pro' would do mate. nayone can make a good job if you put the time in and do it all properly like you did there

problem is i cant decide what colour to do the block and head,

yellow block with black head?

silver block with black head?

blue block and blue head?

 

any suggestions other than pink, purle or tartan?

You don't want too much more yellow, it will look at a glance like leaving the bonnet off whilst re spraying! Silver block with black head for me!

as for the engine u can't go wrong with black. with minimal silver/yellow in there
