V8ian Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 Yeeha, it Fookin Runs at last, its only taken about 6 weeks to get all the right configuration together, the engine seems to be able to take a LOT of timing, we had a bit of a mare getting it running but its on the button despite it giving us some greif we even managed to get the headers bright cherry on tickover the timing was that far out, and the cam is sort of run in, not the steady 2k but bits of everything, steady 1500 to 3k depends where we tried the timing, something is deffo wrong with the timing wheel position, its now running 305degs of advance!!!!!!, so tomorrow I am going to try and get my old timing marks back to to somewhere they should be as I now know whereabouts the should be, Ian

V8ian Posted August 10, 2008 Author Report Posted August 10, 2008 just in time for the hot rod drags ian OH YES, all I need to do is get some miles on it, Stratford has never been kind to me, Broken a gearbox, Picked up a stone in the bellhousing which managed to allow the clutch to hang back on a change and the pushrod fall out, then all the hydraulics pop out all over the M40., got it to the track thinking I could fix it, ended up driving home clutchless thru stratford on a sunny sunday afternoon, bit of a nightmare!!
