351 cu/in small block V8.

250 bhp and 350lb/ft torque.

sambo: got to be rotary :? thats mental power

Just a smaller version of a BDA, they even did a BDJ which was 1100cc and gave around 150bhp.

Mines 1298cc on Slide throttle injection, not much torque but she revs

Hello matey, it's got 99ft/lb @ 6000.

Just a little less than my old N/A Cosworth that HT did for me about 18 years ago, that had 249 ft/lb @ 5250 from 2430cc. Mind you that was on a 92mm crank.

about 500 quids worth of porting IF you talking not having a turbo, without a turbo the cossie head flows real crap (small ports are ideal for turbo cos it keeps the gas speed up but non turbos need larger ports top get good flow) pluss buying the head.

I can think of better ways of spending a grand TBH

285 bhp, 254 ftlbs, thats on a standard lift cam!!!!! but may possibly be a bit more as I have been playing camshafts!!! but still on a standard lift!!

99!! 8) I hope you never round that up when you're telling people or was it actually at 5,999rpm?:lol: And at 6k, most engines have had enough - your's is just coming on cam!!:lol::lol:

Who's dyno was the 2.4 on? They're good numbers!! :ykt:

Do you have the power figures and RPM for that engine too?

Hi Toby, It was up at a place called superior cars . Not sure if they are still going?

All the mags used to use them for shootouts etc.

It gave 272bhp@ 7750 and used to pull to 9

I Missed a gear once and on the telltale it went to 10750!!

92mm stroke 91.2mm bore. 2430cc

on 50's with 46mm chokes 195 mains with 130 airs it used to like the juice!!

The cylinder head had enormous ports and the usual HT fabricated inlet manifold. The engine was originally developed for a guy called Dave Routledge (spelling) to prove that a N/A Cosworth would produce more power than a Warrior.

Im in the process of putting all my old Hillclimb Vids onto DVD so when I have some time I will post a couple of clips, it sounded awesome.

Sounds awesome, I don't know if superior cars are still going, but I remember it was one of those rollers that didn't "quote you happy", with most owners estimating over what they showed - speaks well for the numbers of your 2.4 :ykt::thumbsup:

Do you know the best figures from the Warrior counter-part?

Questions questions!! :lol::lol:
