thats the last time i pratt about in the wet :shock:

 

how the fook i got outa that il never know, decided to put it sideways around a corner and totally lost it snaked halfway up the road and had to mount the pavement, luckily there was a drop kerb, no people, car or lamposts about.

 

tell you what god himself saved me there and il never be so lucky again

That's pretty much what happened to my capri... exept there was a wall behind the kerb :sad:

i did that in the middle of town :oops:

 

at the end of the seafront theres a roundabout and it was torrential rain...me being a silyl twat decided to kick it out as i exited but didnt compensate for the wet weather.

 

1st gear, foot to floor, opposite lock...OH SHIT A SIGN POST!!!

 

i slammed on the brakes and managed to stop intime..heard a few gasps from people near by and one doris with her hands over here eyes.

Having had a close call years ago broadsiding in snow and I got away with very light damage to the rear wheel arch of my otherwise mint 25'000 mile 2.8i special. Now I don't mess around in mine like that at all, great fun but far too expensive to fix.

2 week's after passing my test i put my first mk2 escort full 360 and ended up on the grass verge,no drop kerb for me tho :sad:

 

I looked after my 2 replacement laser alloy's and half shaft after that :oops:

Bugger that i have only been driving RWD for the last 4 mounths and i had a bit of a colon twicher the other day in the rain

hence why im buying a volvo 340 as a first daily, rear wheel drive (so i can get the feel of it) and if i stack it, i wont mind (too much, ild be more pissed if i had a claim on my insurance :lol: ) i would HATE to stack it in the escort :sad:

i spun my escort in trafford park clowing around one night right across the road and into the curb

 

tuck a chunk out of the rs 4 spoke and bent the half shaft i was more carefull after wards but still try and get the daily sliding

 

its fwd escort so not much joy
