Been off work this week so watched a bit of GMTV this morning where they kept calling Glitter a "disgraced pop star" & not a "convicted paedophile". I found myself shouting at the telly scaring my kids so I turned over & watched Big Brother

 

He will be hounded & rightly so imho but the thousands of nonces who are not household names & familiar faces are still out there having "served their time" or never been caught.

 

I have got 2 daughters this whole subject matter makes me sick to the stomach & scares the $hit out of me.

i know everyone is going to hate for saying this but hear gose, how dose anyone know he actualy done the things he is/was acused of as he was convicted in vietnam who are not known for having a good justice system and the fact he has alway claimed his inocence and once back in this country shouldnt he be inocencet untill proven guilty. personaly i feel that if he did/did not do what he was imprisoned for he has served his time and now should be a free man and be able to get on with his life

Sorry but fail to see how your argument makes raping children acceptable....

 

I just put 'Gary Glitter - computer' into google and his background is just, well criminal. He had over 4000 images on his computer of children, as young as two but largely between 6 and 8 being abused, this included being bound, gagged and blindfolded. He regularly visited websites and this implied he was file sharing with other sickos. He had hard copies of photos at home too. This was in the UK, leading up to his conviction on 54 counts of possessing child pornography.

 

The girls he was arrested and charged over were 10 and 11.

 

This is no misunderstood celeb who has been hounded by the UK press, this is a full blown peodo who should be permanantly kept out of society.
