Really likeing the four door no spoiler's look

 

Just clean line's the right wheel's.

 

So here's the idea,my car need's new arche's and the front wing's arent that great while im doing them,whip off the spoiler's get some ghia trim goin down the side of the body instead of tha insulation tape the previous owner put on and finally put my lotus steel's on then a re-paint in the same Modena green

It's all down to personal preference,i used to prefer the spoiler look.

After seeing such cool car's come out the woodwork dressed as Ford intended with addition of the right wheel's,im starting to feel the change.

I think the mk2 shape is complemented by adding a spoiler. It doesnt seem to look quite right without.

 

But as you correctly pointed out, it's all down to personal taste. We cant all like the same things.

imo no spoiler looks really good with a vinyl roof and can look good without if the colours good. its more about breaking up the colour a bit for me

Whereas I think they look better with spoilers. Especially with vinyl roofs too, because it carries the black on.

 

Whip them off and see what you think really mate You might decide that YOURS doesnt look right without the spoilers, regardless of what you think of other peoples.

i once bought a spoiler for my car. placed it on my bootlid to see what it looked like (Scrathed the lid ) then decided i couldnt drill the holes so sold it on.

 

i prefer MINE without because itll just look stupid if i put one on with all the rest of the exterior standard.

 

 

everyone has spoilers on theirs and i like to be different

Very nice too ,i notice you have a chrome rear bumper and a black front bumper,my car has it the other way around.If our car's ever meet maybe we could trade bumper's

2 doors look good with spoilers IF they have no chrome etc and are along the RS/Sport/Rally theme.

However, I've never been too keen on 4 doors with spoilers and spotlights and rally bits etc nailed to em.

 

I deliberately went for a 4 door model because of the the look I wanted to create. It ain't an RS and never will be. The idea was for it to look retro, not repro. And when I decide to plant a loony Pinto between the inner wings, I'll have soooooo much more fun slaughtering Paxo's & Corsa's

people tell me to put spoilers and spots on mine. strip it and cage it. but thatd make it look like i wnated a 2 door but ic ouldnt afford one (which i cant!)...i like the standard look with a big engine between the wigns to suprise cars.
