Wessie Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 that is the question so do you prefer an un archerd car with wide wheels tucked away under the arches, or is it all about huge arches and big wheels? discuss
Retro-gone. Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 id like my arches flarin a little but no idea where to get it done, i eventually want to fit wide slotmags 70's syle.
MightySprocket Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 horses for courses. I love the look of the classic hotrods, trailer arches and fat wheels
garyv6100e Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 Bubbles on a MK1 forest or x-pack on a MK2 but no arches on an anglia IMO
sitting_budda Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 depends on whether is a show car, so thing that actually gets used and abused... pretty sure if you put huge wide wheels on the front it will cause it to bump steer.
countrybumpkin Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 i like both arched and non arched but in some cases arching is the only way to remove a lot of rot so it can be a case of having to
5hane Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 i like both too, but i think i would prefer have no arches and have big tubs put in and huge wheels, but still look fairly standard like a sleeper
sambo Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 A wide arched track demon is a totally different kettle of fish than a non arched 'sweet' road car. In my opinion, these are usually 2 different things entirely. but, i reckon there is no excuses for not fitting arches!
5hane Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 but, i reckon there is no excuses for not fitting arches! lack of moneys ?
jamesg Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 arches = big wheels and decked no arches = tiny wheels with small profile tryes and decked even further.
Johnson Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 fat arches with equally fat rims FTW!!!
Wessie Posted September 16, 2008 Author Report Posted September 16, 2008 i was just wondering what people thoughts are on arches but IMO arches are needed in order to cover the widest wheels you can put on an old ford ! i couldnt give a damn if somebody came up to my car and said they hated it because it had arches/didnt have arches and TBH i'd love to cut even more of my car up just to piss off the purists so here's a few anglias ARCHED UN-ARCHED (and before some of you start crying i know thats some of these are not standard arches, but there more standard then bubbles/trailers etc) and i also think that JED's anglia has the most amazing stance
Lukey48screamer Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 Doubled that mate just got a peek of it while it was being painted recently and boy does it sit mean... After seeing that how can you not arch?! Anyone who says arches dont suit an anglia has obviously never seen the right one in the flesh
Johnson Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 Fook yer, more pics of this please  was this for sale the other month for 10k???
Lukey48screamer Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 Yeh in the back of the mags, it has a balls out n/a cossie in it
antz Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 depends on the car. some i like but some i think look gay
caprinerd Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 its your choice mate, i think both look the tits but hot rod look= with, strip car= with out
Rick Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 escorts anglia id say get them flared out like they do on the ford hotrods
