Rick Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 the first one looks great. dunno how they manage not to get little spatters about though. must need some good equipment
mk2 stu Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 It all comes down to 70% prep, 20% quality of machine and 10% Luck ha ha, Those welds are beautiful, but you need some serious machinery to allow you to create that much penetration without distortion or spatter. V. skillful stuff.
5hane Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 ahh i looks easy joking, that looks really really cool like said in one of the posts, there too good to use a grinder on... but really a grinder shouldnt be needed i want to have a go at wealding
walsh253 Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 Theres some nice cars on that site for sale, look at the "henry j rusty rod" if you think you have problems with rust
NeilT Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 cant beleave im getting moist over welding but thats awrsome stuff iv got a long way to go lol
TwoLitrePinto Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 me too, i use pub gas the gas is only to push air away from the weld as theres some stuff in the air that causes it not to burn efficiently. my welding has got a long way to go but i do use a nackered old SIP that is really beyond repair lol that is some excellent stuff
pauln Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 Very pretty. I wish I could weld that well (mine can just be described as strong and ugly).
countrybumpkin Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 i wish they would of asked before posting pics my welding if only i could
