is the choke working on the carb???????

also drive the bloody thing, if it was designed not to go out in the rain it'd have been made out of bare metal!!!

and as above, spending £500 on a volvo to drive over winter.... just spend £500 on getting the underside stripped, welded, painted, and undersealed n then dont worry about rot at all!

We'll definately be using ours - the heater's broken .... it's stuck to on, so very toasty!

Not quite so much fun in the summer though ... now we've had the door seals done we won't even get 'air conditioning' any more!

welcome to OSF. Use the car all year round - if its going to rot, its going to rot - so you might as well use it while you can

Where can I get that done for £500? That's exactly what mine needs

tbf you could do it for £100 on your own.

angle grinder wire wool, strip the underseal and bare metal the bottom of the car

then use KRUST to treat any rust, and if it needs welding mark the spots that need welding n get it welded (or weld it yourself)

then its just a couple of tins of primer (5er) couple of tins of spray (10er) and a big tub of underseal (15quid) and a big brush)

:) when i did mine i didnt need any welding at all, but if anyone charges more than 500quid for a half decent floorpan stripping welding and spraying need shooting!

and where to get it done, just ask at loads of sprayshops etc
