Takeshi Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 I pay £1350 a year, that makes me feel good
Fishtailparka Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 My renewal for my Mk1 just came through, I thought it was a bit high at £189
mossy Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 fook that! i thought my £450 was expensive and im 21 with 3points!
caprinerd Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 £179 full comp 3 points, but there again im an old fart
stephens_xpack Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 I am sorry but that is just radio rental! DOUBLE FOOK THAT. Why do you not drive a little runabout around and have the OSF's etc for weekend on limited milage. I get both my capper and 911sc for £300 a year. But it does mean my daily driver is a KA, but I can live with that as that only costs me £120 to insure. £420 3 cars happy dayz!
Sir-Cato Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 I got quoted 3k for a mk1 escort (with a few mods)
john_3.0s Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 I pay about 500 a year for agreed value on: Mk1 granada rover p6 mk1 mexico mk3 capri 3.0 golf mk1 gti morris 1000 try herritage multi car classic policy
Stu_B Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 I'm a petrol head thru & thru, not a lot puts a grin on my face like driving a car... but I'd rather take the bus than pay that
Rick Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 fook that mate cancel it and get it cheaper! try peter best, mines £200 agreed value at 8k fully comp you only need to be 23
crapichris Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 £123 fully comp 5000 mile policy on a Mk1 modified Capri but I'm another old fart. Just had to make a claim as some plonker hit my car and we are having trouble extracting the readies from him or his insurance. They have been really helpful with the claim too
mk1super Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 Well next time round, iam hoping due to having been driving a year and 5 months, mine will take a drop too 680 fully comp. Thats not bad for a modded mk1 escort and first car too
jaymk1cossieestate Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 mate thats a lot, have a good phone around mine 190 full comp with mods
stephens_xpack Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 Probably Merseyside don't help it. Can't you park down south and get the train home? Probably still work out cheaper including the train fares!
Retro-gone. Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 78 quid, fully comp, agreed value , free recovery too. its about the only good thing to come out of getting old.
Takeshi Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 78 quid, fully comp, agreed value , free recovery too.its about the only good thing to come out of getting old. £78?! Wow...car insurance paid off in less than a weeks wages.....
ChristophStone Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 My cheapest quote on a 1.6 mk1 cappa: £1099 on a 3.0: £1550. Strange how it goes. But that's due to my age.
antz Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 mines £575 im so gonna get raped next year
surfingturnip Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 tryin to forget about what my insurence will be costing me when the cortys back on the road
tazrocks88 Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 the cheapest quote i have had is £800 on my 1300 oh well i have a lil while to wait b4 i have to pay that
Takeshi Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Toruble is I cant get classic insurance until I'm 21/have 2 cars/do 2 miles a year in it/is garaged etc.... Tried confused.com and cheapest was £1400, TPFT. At the moment I pay £1350 TP. I upped my licence holding to 2 years and I got qouted £1000 TPFT...something I suppose. I do have a SP30 though..
john_3.0s Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 I remember being quoted over 2 grand to insure my mk1 RS2000 when i was about 19/20. put it in the old mans name in the end and added me as a named driver for about 300 quid
