badchild Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 Ive come to the conclusion everything italian must be scrap Anyone else agree? They must put all theyre effort and time into the styling then think thats the job done and throw the mechanics together, feckin italians
evil knievel Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 same goes for the french oh apart from the styling bit
Admin Vista Posted December 12, 2008 Admin Report Posted December 12, 2008 Sorry I disagree entirely. Italians have made some of the greatest cars in the world. Even down at our level of finance. Lancia Delta Integrale anyone? I'd have one of these over an Escort / Sarah Cosworth in a blink of an eye. Or how about a Lancia Stratos? Another giant killer! Or how about the very succesful Alfa Giulia series cars? Racing with twin cam engines when Fords were still going to the shops with side valves.
over_head_cam Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 I detect a slight hint of bias Mr. Vista They make good welders though
Durham Fiesta Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 i'd much rather have an Escos or a 3dr cosworth over an integrale.
LEONMEX Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 And they do some nice ice creams rasberry ripple mmmmmmmmmmmm
evil knievel Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 i'd much rather have an Escos or a 3dr cosworth over an integrale. why? this could be an interesting topic

Fords have always been more of a peoples car

Durham Fiesta Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 could you put up with the left hand drive?
evil knievel Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 could you put up with the left hand drive? there are a few right hand drive floating about, some of 'em was factory done as well. more money though
over_head_cam Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 "I's got a cozzy innit an it betta dan yous cos it got a faasan brake" or "I own an Italian sports car (that is fundamentally flawed but has more style in the valve caps than your whole family put together)" I think it's all about image really. I'd love an Italian car that went like a Cosworth, and didn't keep breaking
Durham Fiesta Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 i had a fiat punto once don't worry, there is help out there for you
Posse Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 I think if i remember they were spinners?
LEONMEX Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 i was rolling on two o's. & it had a playboy bunny on the boot
Mugshot1968 Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 Speaking of italian cars, anyone remember the Fiat 132 Mirafiori 2000TC? I used to have one that I used as a stock car and it was the fastest and best handling thing I have driven. Mind you, it rusted so quick you could almost HEAR it!
badchild Posted December 12, 2008 Author Report Posted December 12, 2008 lol looked back at this thread and didnt expect it to have got to 2 pages And yeah ive had not just one but a heap of bad experiences, i have a cagiva mito evoloution and ive spent more money on it than i have on my escort! It was one of those days at work and riding home in the pissing rain the bike quit again Touchwood the engine has always been fine but the build quality is absolute shite even a couple of people i know who have ducatis say the same Anyways i got it sorted in the end, the spark plug was earthing in the wet and got it covered in wd40 so its working again dead on, thank fook cuz the mot is at half 2 tomorrow
Admin Vista Posted December 12, 2008 Admin Report Posted December 12, 2008 I detect a slight hint of bias Mr. Vista No bias I just choose to walk and enjoy both paths, you note I resisted the temptation to wheel out a pic of my real Italian favourite. As for choosing a tuppence hapenny jelly mould cosworth over an Evo Integrale Philistines
