Mrs O/H/C Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 right.. i have been with AOL since time begun, but lately had so many problems that i think its time to change. Who do you use ?? thinking of going with sky as we already have a box and telephone with them
Dr Feelgood Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 im with talktalk, best one ive ever used been with aol and sky both are really crap
Savvi Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Change from Sky within 3 months cos they were rubbish , loads of hassle and big arguments cos i sign up for a year, in the end they released me as i had called so many times to get it working right, BT been good so far , but the best i had was with Ntl cable at my old house.
omj624p Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 All internet providers have people who say they are good and some who say they are bad. Do some homework first. Most ISP's use BT's old dodgy phone cabling. The first question is how far are you from your BT exchange? If you are a fair few miles away (as we are) then any BT style broadband will probably give you issues. (that no-one can fix!) The further away you are the slower your connection speed. Also you're far more likely to get random drop-outs. If you're in this situation then NTL is a good choice. We've been with them for MANY years with no problems. Steve
Admin Vista Posted January 6, 2009 Admin Report Posted January 6, 2009 im with talktalk, best one ive ever used been with aol and sky both are really crap Also with talk talk and when used as a phone service provider they're pretty cheap too and I've had no problems.
Pipster007 Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 I'm with Virgin (formerly Telewest. Been with them since 1990) I have the home phoneline and tv package with them Very rarely I have had an issue, but it has been dealt with quickly. It's all on fibre optic to the house, so signal's are always good. Granted the package may be pricer than other services, esp as I have 20mb download (soon to be upped to 50mb F.O.C), but then I guess you pay for what you get
antz Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 orange cos it came free with my phone contract. cant say no to free broadband
2.8i Cossie Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Im with BT.....if there is ever a problem with the internet then its their fault and they cant blame anyone else..... but so far i aint had any problems *fingers crossed*

Mrs O/H/C Posted January 6, 2009 Author Report Posted January 6, 2009 Rang up AOL for my mac code.. and of course they are reluctant to give it to me Looked at the eclipse site.. looks good I was of the opinion that talk talk were rubbish but going by the feedback on here it might be an option Aol are going to ring me on thursday to find out why i have problems ... as it is logged that i have rang up several times in the last six months. And as a GOODWILL GESTURE ... they are going to give me a months broadband FREE We will see what happens , but would be grateful for more suggestions too

Smudger105e Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 I am on Virgin (not A virgin, fools) and when we have had problesm it has been sorted quickly. Only downside is the call centre is based nearer Mumbai than London...
