Admin Mk2Jo Posted March 3, 2009 Admin Report Posted March 3, 2009 Dire Straits but I am old and they were BIG in my day Brothers in Arms ... fantastic song played very loud
bortaf Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Hmmm both big in thier day have to say Oasis even though most of were prats with egos bigger than thier talent
Retro-gone. Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 oasis for me, even tho the gallagher brothers are nobheads i still like their stuff, altho the straights sultans of swings an awesome song ..
stevepeanut Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Dire Straites for, still like Oasis too, although they might as well be a cover band for all the stealing of other bands riffs
PIG Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 dire straits are shite love um or hate um oasis have the best front man in the world for a band like that i think
trakevlyn Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Dire Straits every time all oasis try and do is sound like a bad beatles tribute band singing ther own crap songs
badchild Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Thats a hard one, I like oasis's old stuff but then again Dire straits are class and the only person that can come close to mark knopfler on the guitar imho is lindsey buckingham from fleetwood mac, prob have to go for Dire straits
bigdaz27 Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Dire straits at least mark knopfler can play the guitar
escortwithsunroof Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Dire Straits ...mind you I'd vote for a bunch of chimps over Oasis +1 mate, far away, one of THE best dire straits songs EVER, backing track to the story of the mk1 escort
MexDan Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Thats a hard one, I like oasis's old stuff but then again Dire straits are class and the only person that can come close to mark knopfler on the guitar imho is lindsey buckingham from fleetwood mac, prob have to go for Dire straits Completely agree.. Both Knopfler and Buckingham are awesome at their type of fingerstyle guitar... Dire Straits every time!!
jimbo Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 I like Oasis. Really like them if you count just the first two albums. But Dire Straits are arguably better on every level.
Trevmk3 Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 dont mind some of the old oasis but dire straits are much better just love the guitar solos in the songs and also we played dire straits at my dads funeral
Admin Vista Posted March 4, 2009 Admin Report Posted March 4, 2009 They're both artists, Dire straits are musical artists Oasis are piss artists and rip off artists
