John boy Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 Used to run arround in a model A pickup as a daily it cost me less to run and insure than my 95 escort (i know fuel is more expensive now). Price wise it depends on what you want you could buy a pete n jakes chassis for $700, or you could get one from tci for about $400 it will do the same job and look the same but some of the glory boys will turn their noses up at it but stuff em. If your building a hot rod to have fun driving it about £7000 is about right, the pickup sold for £4000. A show winning rod will cost whatever is in the bank.
