Doc Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 Modern car isnt doing for me , 20v and turbo charged isnt flicking the switches it should , I need a modern engined car with good brakes and a dose of 70s tougness , So the plan is a 72 Mk1 capri fitted with power steering a modern 2.0ltr , slammed on 15" black and polished split rims period black interior , modern brakes and auto gearbox for city and commmuting , rewired and daytona yellow with no vinyl roof , A modern GT if you like . Started speaking with Adam @ capri restorations as he did such a good job on the last car. This one will be even nicer than the x pack . I drive 120 miles a day round trip so it needs to be practical above anything else . So lads its back to business . First job to buy the best rolling shell i can . As cheaply as possible Doc

Savvi Posted March 14, 2009 Report Posted March 14, 2009 Have you spoke to Neil at Caprisport in Oxfordshire, 07813815724 ? He does the 24v cosworth changes all the time, i think he sells the conversion parts as well. He can be a bit funny at times, he has a full time job then does this "on the side" as such, but once you get through that he's a good very knowledgeable guy, normally got or know where some nice cars are
