stevepeanut Posted March 19, 2009 Report Posted March 19, 2009 has any one used this? heard about it on the news today. I think its plain wrong. Just found my house, must be a few months old, can see my old 2.8 capri on the drive, and even read the reg plate on my birds escort. Its gone too far, anyone can now go on here and look around the local streets, see whats on people drives, see if theres anything good to steal.
Yeomans22 Posted March 19, 2009 Report Posted March 19, 2009 that should help the crims, they can now have a look around from their stolen computer, good idea google,
bigdaz27 Posted March 19, 2009 Report Posted March 19, 2009 have a better look it years behind i just had a look there was a building on it local to me that was pulled down 3 years ago
2.8i Cossie Posted March 19, 2009 Report Posted March 19, 2009 zoom into an area on google.com maps and then drag the wee orange man onto the street and if google have been round your house you can see it from street view.

omj624p Posted March 19, 2009 Report Posted March 19, 2009 But whats the point? Talk about excessive carbon footprint!!!

Copey Posted March 19, 2009 Report Posted March 19, 2009 I've seen OSFs on the road too Not long before the dowhattheylikeys find out ahh but can they afford the internet in their caravans?
badchild Posted March 19, 2009 Report Posted March 19, 2009 Read in the paper during the week about a fella who made a living off looking at what churches and schools etc, etc had lead on the roof and went stealing them like WTF? talk about invasion of privacy
FredTransit Posted March 19, 2009 Report Posted March 19, 2009 Doesn't look like there is any of London on it yet.
NginEEr Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 well every where in newcastle bar my estate is covered. but they have updated the pics and you can see my old mk1 fez perfectly on the drive and my mk2 escort makes you wonder though if this is available to the publice etc what does the army etc have
omj624p Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 Doesn't look like there is any of London on it yet. Yeh there is, I have just been looking at where I work in North London. It's fairly up-to-date there as there are recent speed bumps shown
FredTransit Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 Yeah it's just gone online now, or I was looking in the wrong place! Am I the only one that's thinking this is a really bad idea from the point of security and a huge invasion of privacy? After all it's not like CCTV that supposedly for our security is it? This is just a stalker's best friend. And don't get me on the cars that might disappear. And we worry about posting a pic of some random car in Asda's car park
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 Dad is outside our house hahaha My dad is in his window looking at the car with the camera on thinking 'WTF?'
Smudger105e Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 My area isnt covered, but Baz105e's is. They seem to have made a bit of an effort by blocking out the number plates, although OSF70 on the back window is a bit of a giveaway!! lmao...
FredTransit Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 Just spoke to my mate who has 7 cortinas outside his house. Not happy!
richie_stix Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 so what, it's a public road where you see exactly what you would if you were walking on it? At least they blur out faces and number plates? Most are oldish pics anyway? i was dissapointed i couldn't find my car!
