mk1super Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Turbo busa engined anglia, proper stealth looking like the potters, it would really fly
Daveyboy20 Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 I love all the capris mk1,2 and 3 but if i could chose my ultimate capri (and therefore ultimate OSF) it would be a mk1, it'd have a ducktail rs3100 rear spoiler tinted red back lights, the twin front lights beefed out arches rolling some wide as fook deepdish wheels probably slotmags 13 at the front 14 at the rear i reckon about 9 inch wide front and 11 inch wide rear, little bib spoiler low at the front and just an inch or two higher at the back running a mighty 5 litre ford v8 or a 5.7 chevy, supercharged with straight through pipes Oh and it'd be in black, the shiniest black you ever did see....... ah the interior i hear you ask? black carpets, brushed ally dash insert, black clocks small leather wheel with polished ally spokes nice period bucket seats that match the back seats (it wouldnt be striped out, i love the back seats in the mk1 capri) big old vented and drilled 2.8i disks and suitable pads sitting on coilovers.... Not that ive ever put any thought into this kinda thing
105Nick Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 I've got two of the best classic fords ever - the Mk1 which I'v got for sale to fund bits for my Anglia Intended to do it on 7" supalites but got carried away and its being restored to standard on whitewalls and chrome hucaps (not sure what's got into me!), but its still damned fun. Always wanted a pre-facelift Mk1 capri with essex V6, and a Consul Classic/Capri. Was talking to a guy with a load of old fords who has a lassic and a Classic Capri, but said they aren't as nice to drive as the Anglia and he might sell as he's gone off them (been using his Thames 400E camper - cool) but I'd still love one of them with 1700/supalites. I'm trying to convince my dad to get a cortina again, so I wont have to though he always wanted a F1/F100 which are cool, but I'd rather a 150 to use off road. Mk1 Zodiac with a 302 would be nice, or a Hertz GT350H, my brothers got a 7 litre cobra rep, but that just scares the sh!t out of me! Model Y/B hi boy would be cool too.
Mk 1 Mark Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 Mk1 cortina , pre-airflow 2 door Good Choice Gaz
tonymk2wagon Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 other than escorts mk 1 n 2 it would have to be a mk 1 granny 2 door saloon . . well rare in uk but about if you hunt hard. . it would have to be black and fitted with a LT-1 twin turbo V8. slammed hard on 16" cragar s/s rims and super low pros. no body mods at all just clean and tidy. other than that maybe a polley style anglebox but rather than retro xflow and 3 link,.. a full on late hot rod space frame and running gear. . . what the hell just polleys anglia as is will do. . . cool as fook .
lotusless Posted January 14, 2007 Report Posted January 14, 2007 CONSUL CAPRI i have had so many different old school fords, some very lovely cars lotus, rs, big engines ect, but if you use the word cool there is only one car (ok i have owned a few ) + they may be a bit heavy + basic but when youve got all the windows down they are the nuts!. the best way to explain is to say one day i was stuck in traffic in london in my white capri when next to me was a couple of blokes in a red ferrari 355, the driver said to me that is a great car!!!! i thought the same as you are thinking are they mad, but ferraris are two a penny in london. so its the wow factor they are such a wild design. i rest my case.
oldskool4me Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 corsair slammed on superlites, but i love em all
