Seems that serveral flat owners near the bridge have complained to the Police about the number of burnouts and dodgy driving at last weeks reunion .

Im told on good authority one resident videoed the whole night and has passed it on to the police as evidence .

Be aware before summons arrive on you door mat

Nsra think the police will be in force next month

nothing new :) aslong as the video doesnt have you specifically doing a doughnut with you're numberplate clearly visible you're fine.

but if its filmed from the flats. all they got is the evedence needed to "close down" the cruise on later dates.

we've been "caught" before, loads of times, up when pontefract had about 1000modified cars on a sunday night all racing drifting knocking down gates fences etc we all got our plates etc taken, cars checked one by one for modifications that arent declaired on the insurance....

i had a "standard" car at that time, they didnt notice the mods but everyone who didnt have them declaired. got seriousley fubared (points etc)

but.... unless they have evidence of you doing something wrong on that night, all they can do is a "random" check because you're car was there... which due to the strict laws nowadays they cant do "random" ones anymore!! (win!)

so basically you're fine unless you've been video'd numberplate on show doing something illegal..... then generally its just a warning

TBH if people were genuinely doing doughnuts, chicken nuggets, pasties, pork pies, burn outs or whatever you call them outside my house / window I probably wouldn't be too happy either.

If a good event gets curtailed because of the actions of a few idiots with a bit too much testosterone going on, then it's those idiots that need to take the blame and not the people that complained about them.

What do you mean by that ? :?

'I'll be alright though mate as I was in some dodgey stickered up jap thing'

but you were not parked in the carpark as you were parked across the bridge in the semi circular bit where the buses pull in.

nothing cryptic .

Yes I was , parked behind darran moss before we were turfed out of the

park,I would have parked on the bridge but there was no room, and I

think you know the significance of the other quote.

I purposely went up in my evo so I could keep up with the various souped

up old skool motors of my mates from near boxhill and then shannon

corner,and I'm glad I did as it was a right larf !

Unfortunately ,some people (not my mates) wanna rip the p*ss about this.

I am afraid this says more to me about the old skool scene at the

moment than anything else .

I will be up the ace on tuesday for the osf meet, having a larf with like

minded people, please come and say hello if you like, most people know

who I am, I would not know you from adam I'm afraid.

Puddy, osf to the core !

I done a lot of the steelwork on those flats, its called chelsea brige wharf and they are very snobby, a lot of them wanted the burger van moved off the bridge because it looked scruffy, still a lot of them are paying around £2500 a month rent so i guess they can be, they were also talking about building a roof over the train tracks on the other side to reduce noise. Its actually a battersea post code but they call it chelsea bridge wharf because chelsea sounds posher haha

Like i said in another thread bugs me to hell these people who move into houses then complain about the noise, have a snoop before you buy a place, like these fools who buy homes next to race tracks/airports then go ape at the noise of race cars/planes, your moving next to a race track/airport what do you expect?

Chelsea Bridge has had meets for cars and bikes going on there for years, and they have been well documented, in vairous car and bike mags so iam sorry i got no sympathy for em. And really the planners werent to clever building them homes there in the first place

Haha nice one, another thing i should have said is underneath those flats theres a mahoosive two storey car park and iv never seen so many porsches, ferraris, mercs, audis etc etc, there was one of them big batman mercedes thingys as well. I wonder if the owners of some of them were complaining about the cruise

AS far as i remember there was only one car doing donuts on the night, but i guess that's because hes young and just got the car on the road, but generally the meet was pretty quite, it was only the odd few yank motors doing the rolling burnouts that drew attention.

I know i organised the meet, but i cannot control peoples behaviour, if its the last meet we have there then so be it, but it was a good night while it lasted

I dont think the car gatherings will ever stop at Chelsea as for years they have tried but it still goes on though probably next month there will be a few police about giving inocent tax paying motorists hassle just because we have an interest in old modified cars,,,,,,,,,,

, if its the last meet we have there then so be it, but it was a good night while it lasted

I think the stuck up person with the video camara was trying to video a giant wasp....

I think you car sounded and looked awesome on full chat... reminded me of that!

And you cant please everyone, so its your car do as you like and please.

We have all done it.

Just hope you dont get a visit for the plod or a fine through the post

I thought it was a great meet, and if take place again. i think we should park up along the embankment where we use to back in the day by the so called D.

Burger van there job done

No one to moan or video anyone for the police of peopleenjoying themselves.

Keep it real and enjoy the cars you have spent months building, if it breaks its at your expence and its you that will have to fix it.

If you get caught its you who gets fined or points so crack on and have fun i say

no tru-er word spoken ever!

i personally have built my car to survive being thrashed within an inch of its life.... near enough every spirited drive and trackday.

i do this on a regular basis, yes theres bin a few hairy moments here and there, i have been in trouble with getting caught broadside on wide open corners.

but i have always done it to a limit, i have never hurt anyone, just myself and my ego (generally with kurbs) lol.

but to be honest, if you want to take the risk at something like this, you do get a lot of respect and you do make a good meet, into a GREAT one!

im sorry, but car shows, you go see them, they always have drifting/driving passenger speed rides etc for you to try (well the ones i go to) sometimes looking at the cars in the show stationary, no sound, no smell of burning rubber, no smell of burning clutches or big cheering crowds...

i know which i'd rather go to!

But at the end of the day, its a risk. Its life =)

hmm.... sorry i have major ranting sessions when im tired!

I remember the old cruise back in the day (1975) every one was doing prat stupid stuff up and down the Kings road and all aong the embankment! Plod shut it all down and nicked all and sundry. I saw a guy doing wheelies on a monkey bike get done  They banned cruisers from the Kings road and thats why it moved. Now we are stuck with the crap areas they have given us :( Boys will be boys with their toys and so will I but we have to bear the consequences. Before long they will ban it alltogether so be warned
