i thought they shocked you when you pulled them off with the engine running :?

there also supposed to make the engine misfire when you take them off ! :lol:

Never got a shock from any of the motors when pulling leads off.

ints how you tell which cylinder is givin you problems (the lazy way)

Never seen it on a petrol engine before but guess it could come from fuel diluted sump oil igniting from hot spots in the combustion chamber..........or alternatively he could be scamming us and it could be another engine running off camera that we can't see, there's not much motion visible on that engine after all :lol:

 

On a diesel it can happen if you're getting sump oil into the combustion chamber, the engine runs on that despite you shutting off the fuel supply...............typically it continues running until there's no oil left. :shock:

Whip the airbox off & wedge something large in the intake!

 

My mate blew up a turbo diesel on an MOT test run yesterday :roll: It failed on emissions so he took it for a blast to clear it out & it went bang :shock: he was sat on the edge of the road with it running on, just had to wait till it destroyed itself!

Ah Yes - thats How I killed Em's Sierra estate - It basically ate itself to death - at full chat too - had to call the fire brigade lol

2.4 Diesel? Apprently that engine was well known for it, cylinder no. 4 was poorly cooled...

Tried to stallit - wouldnt let me it wasnt the 2.4 lump it was the 2L i think - Phil OHC knows - it was his

 

been there with my old astra van! Just sit there & wait for it to implode lol. get some funny looks when in traffic :shock:
