My point was I didn't have a great childhood yet turned out OK (I think!). Either way, MJ didn't have a standard/average/normal upbringing, but it was the same upbringing his brothers had.

TBH I think MJ had better lawyers than GG. If there was no truth in the allegations why pay off the first kid? Would you if you thought 100% you were innocent and could prove it in a court of law?

Did anybody think Geoffrey Archer was innocent when he paid off the prostitute?

I think that a lot of the time, the jokes that go around are just a way for the people that write them to have some sense of notoriety (even if they remain anonymous)

I am of the opinion that MJ was a product of his childhood, just like the rest of us. It is very hard to pull yourself away from the way that things have been branded into your brain from an early age. As usual, I blame the parents.

I would like those who have mocked his death and in fact those who have said that they are glad that he is dead to consider how they would feel if their father had been accused of child abuse, then tried and ultimately CLEARED of all charges, only to have that stigma attatched to them for the rest of their life. Then to cap it all your dad died at the age of 50 and still everyone wants to tear you to shreds for what I see as being 'different' or 'strange' or 'eccentric' (like we sometimes get called for liking old cars). We all make mistakes in life and MJ was no different.

For once I actually agree with you

who cares tbh,he got away with it because of money and corruption in the courts.if he didnt have a pot to piss in then he would of been imprisioned for an amount of time i think that is fact.bit like oj simpson didnt kill those 2 either as he was found not guilty.fooking joke.or should we all believe he was also innocent dont think so.

a sex pest and more money will be made from a sex pest for his family and record companys

I'd love to see the facts and evidence of these 'allegations'

Has anyone ever considered the 'you have loads of money, so I'll make something up to try and get some of it' option?

Anyone could be labeld anything people wanted, whether true or not.

Well that is a fair point, until you see the man himself say in an interview he does sleep with the kids, but of course nothing happened. What man in his late 40s would think that was a good idea? That is, to do it or talk about it. 20 mil is an awful lot to hand over if you think you have done nothing wrong.

Self confessed paedophiles convince themselves their victims were fully aware of what they were doing, and wanted what happened to them to happen. The sikos also convince themselves their 'love' is beautiful and normal and misunderstood.

We will never really know now anyway.....

As a side note, my cigarettes smoke without fire ;)

Oh no they don't, they smoke without flame but they are definitely burning and thus are on fire.

Largely I'm with Fred on this one, I liked some of his music but not all. I think he was a fool for frittering away the enormous fortune that he made but ultimately it was his fortune to waste. I did not wish his death, take no pleasure from it and do have sympathy for the children that have lost a father. However, MJ's departure from this world means absolutely zip to me. I shall save my energy and thoughts for things that are important in my life and whether anyone likes it or not, the departure from this mortal world of A.N. other celebrity (and a fallen one at that) just isn't important enough to me for me to think much more than I hope that everyone gets their money back on the tickets they bought.

As to the difference between MJ and GG, do we ever really know if someone is innocent or guilty? There have been plenty of innocent people found guilty and gone to jail whilst guilty ones have escaped it (OJ has already been mentioned). Hypothetically speaking it could just as easily be that the only difference between MJ and GG was that MJ had enough money left to buy off his accusers and GG didn't. MJ may indeed have been innocent, but having had his fingers burnt once with accusations, what on earth was he doing letting children share his bed after that occurence?

Some good points there, if you looked the clips of GG trial, it looked like he had a local lawyer as opposed to some high priced Hollywood type.

As for MJ repeating his behaviour, that just strikes me as being surrounded by people who would not point out he was on fire if he said he was cold....

Would only like to add actually I did like some of his music (beat it was good) but I didn't buy any of it, and I am not about to say he's a saint just cos he died suddenly.

Something on radio 2 about his skin condition.....vitiligo

Talks about why he wore plasters on his fingers originally, then went on to wearing a glove, maybe then had plastic surgery to make his features more in keeping with his white skin. - Makes some sence.

He wasn't as normal as the next person and having young lads sleep over is not normal in our eyes but that doesn't acctually mean he did anything to them. I'm not keen to jump on the same side as the media, spin!!!!

Bunch of hypocrites.

Sorry that all seems like a big excuse to me. Albino black people don't all go out and have plastic surgery to appear white (I know MJ wasn't albino).

I would understand it if MJ had wore make up to maintain his dark skin tone, but TBH it looked more like he was wearing make up to make him appear white. Usually when people disguise the pale/white patches caused by vitiligo they do it to return to their original appearance, not to make them uniformally the pale colour of the affected patches.

who really cares????

He looked how he wanted to look, he wore what he wanted to wear, he changed what he didnt like.

He didnt go round slagging off your choice of clothing or hair style did he?

Anyway leave the man alone. He is dead and thats that. A tragic loss before it was due and arguing over how he looked is just a waste of bandwith and time.
