MM77 Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 Just bought this, and fook me its absolutely phenomenal. Saw them in Melbourne and Twickenham on this tour, absolute brilliant both times. This DVD captures the gigs perfectly. Maybe the best music DVD i've ever bought I cant believe the energy Bruce still has.
Andrade Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 and their albums are still as good as they were! some bands tebnd to degrade as times go by, but a matter of life and death still kicks ass as much as the older material.
evildave Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 will have to get myself a copy, i'm still loving the live after death dvd
Trig_112 Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 Might have to give that a try. Last time I saw them was at MEN on the Brave New World Tour, amazing band live.
MM77 Posted September 2, 2009 Author Report Posted September 2, 2009 Well i've only had the DVD 24hours and its already been played for 6 of them
Admin Vista Posted September 2, 2009 Admin Report Posted September 2, 2009 I've been a fan of Maiden from their early days and saw them in concert a number of times in the 80's and early 90's. I've got the DVD along with a number of other ones of them but for me it all went to cock from Fear of the dark onwards and the less is said about the Blaze years the better. I stick to the early music now and can't really get in to anything they produced after No prayer for the Dying.

EscortHeadCase Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 Didnt know there was so many metal lovers on here. gonna throw this out there. I think Metallica were only good before the Black Album. And dont get me started on Megadeth and Judas Priest.....

Andrade Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 i never really liked metallica, let alone the latst material! what a shame
EscortHeadCase Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 I saw Testament, Megadeth and Judas Priest at Wembley in February. And ive got to say. Tho im glad they are all still going, some of their more recent work blows. Seeing Testament with the original line-up was amazing. I think my Favorite metal band is without a doubt Pantera (including the 4 albums before Cowboys From Hell) Ive been to some death metal gigs as well in my time but at the end of the day whether im Pissed off , bummed out or happy as larry Pantera always hits that spot (that and a couple of whiskeys)
Andrade Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 but at the end of the day whether im Pissed off , bummed out or happy as larry Pantera always hits that spot (that and a couple of whiskeys) know what u mean i have the same thing with arch enemy, expecially the old material before angela came in!
evildave Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 I think my Favorite metal band is without a doubt Pantera (including the 4 albums before Cowboys From Hell) they were a great band, highlight (exept slayer) of ozzfest 98
EscortHeadCase Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 i have a friend who saw pantera 4 times...everytime he mentions it i consider.....
evil knievel Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 pantera make me want to shoot every one in the vicinity. i do enjoy iron maiden though! always have at least 2 CD's in the car
Admin Vista Posted September 13, 2009 Admin Report Posted September 13, 2009 A few of my Maiden favourites (official videos) I saw them at the Edinburgh Playhouse on this tour, they were still playing small venues back then and (IMHO) the atmosphere was much better than stadium style massive gigs where they are specs on a distant stage. I still think Number of the Beast and Piece of Mind were their best creations Pre Nicko McBrain and Janick Gers (did anyone know that Clive Burr is now wheel chair bound with Multiple Sclerosis?) Bruce looks a babe in arms! No video to this one but along with Rime of the ancient mariner is probably my favourite
