Just bought this, and fook me its absolutely phenomenal.

Saw them in Melbourne and Twickenham on this tour, absolute brilliant both times.

This DVD captures the gigs perfectly. Maybe the best music DVD i've ever bought 8)

I cant believe the energy Bruce still has.

and their albums are still as good as they were! some bands tebnd to degrade as times go by, but a matter of life and death still kicks ass as much as the older material.

I've been a fan of Maiden from their early days and saw them in concert a number of times in the 80's and early 90's. I've got the DVD along with a number of other ones of them but for me it all went to cock from Fear of the dark onwards and the less is said about the Blaze years the better. I stick to the early music now and can't really get in to anything they produced after No prayer for the Dying.

Didnt know there was so many metal lovers on here. gonna throw this out there. I think Metallica were only good before the Black Album. And dont get me started on Megadeth and Judas Priest.....

How good is Nostradamus... What an album.

I saw Testament, Megadeth and Judas Priest at Wembley in February. And ive got to say. Tho im glad they are all still going, some of their more recent work blows. Seeing Testament with the original line-up was amazing.

I think my Favorite metal band is without a doubt Pantera (including the 4 albums before Cowboys From Hell) Ive been to some death metal gigs as well in my time but at the end of the day whether im Pissed off , bummed out or happy as larry Pantera always hits that spot (that and a couple of whiskeys) :ykt:

A few of my Maiden favourites (official videos)

I saw them at the Edinburgh Playhouse on this tour, they were still playing small venues back then and (IMHO) the atmosphere was much better than stadium style massive gigs where they are specs on a distant stage.

I still think Number of the Beast and Piece of Mind were their best creations

Pre Nicko McBrain and Janick Gers (did anyone know that Clive Burr is now wheel chair bound with Multiple Sclerosis?) Bruce looks a babe in arms!

No video to this one but along with Rime of the ancient mariner is probably my favourite
