bortaf Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 All mine work the bollox I allways clean the heater rad and seal it propperly before i start to use a classic as a daily, mind you they are pee easy to work on in a corty so it only takes 5 mines to totaly overhaul the whole thing
jimbo Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 NO HEAT-- NO SERVO-- NO POWER STEERING I seem to remember that car you kindly gave me lift with had all those things Ian BTW. I still have a gasket kit here that I need to get back to you at some point
jimbo Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 I should say that my heater is kinda halfway. It's good enough to use to stop the engine overheating in summer traffic. But it's not good enough to save me from wearing gloves whilst driving in winter. I'm due to replace it with a refurbed set up when I remove the dashboard to recover it.
Skoty Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 my heater matrix split in my mk1 fiesta last winter. it spilt anti freeze all on my carpet so i took that out. so it had no insulation and no heater but i thought it was awesome. heaters are for poofs ,man i have my window down all the time to stop the window misting up. lol so the heater does no good. i just use it to cool my engine down abit. lol
5hane Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 Try walking through a windy park in the wet, then waiting at a busstop for 20 mins and gettin on a cold bus Then having to walk over a mile (over a bridge - V windy, and past 2 roundabouts, no paths lol) into college... Heater, PAH london transport FTL
joe1600 Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 Mines crap. I just rely on the engine making the floor warm
tom28 Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 mines crap too all year round and thats with a new thermo, gf used ta moan it was too cold but then we cud warm it up without it even running
SLYMAN Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 Heater is the first thing to hit the bin. One of he main killers of front floor pans when the matrix leaks dem hings, niiice. Bulkhead mods and tunnel won't allow one anyhow!!
