aux Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 She was rebuilt a few years back, down in kent i think, as a lotus cortina replica. Had a small fature in Classic Ford (Feb 2003, page 66)... yes, a 4 door with the rear doors welded up . Since then she has a had a few owners and need a bit of attention here and there, unfortunately the lotus twin-cam has been removed and replaced with 1600 x-flow. I got her a few months ago and have a few plans- getting rid of the lotus badges and new paint for one. cheers!

aux Posted December 30, 2006 Author Report Posted December 30, 2006 thats sweet as mate........... whats your plans for it....? Cheers folks, Few ideas, for starters got some twin dellorto 40's that i may fit, though im not sure the power gain will be worth the added fuel consumption Need to sort a few bodywork spots out, then had planned on getting it painted a satin black or really dark 'black-green'.. if you get me , also a set of anthracite minilites or lotus steels (not sure which way to go). Front quarter-bumpers would be nice too, with 'teeth' (overriders aint they?). Still mulling ideas over really, been sorting a few other things- fuel lines, cables etc, seats, and installed a remote break servo.
Escota Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 I remember that in classic ford! Quite well done if i remember rightly, and looks cool You really gotta look hard to see whats been done, and i think it was the smaller front door that gives it away, but hey, whos complaining! Twin 40's just for the noise Dont worry about consumption if its not a daily hack. Lotus steels all day long, and agree on 1/4 bumpers, but they should not have over riders! No quater bumpers look right with them imo. Just my thoughts anyway. Swet ride though fella
aux Posted December 31, 2006 Author Report Posted December 31, 2006 Yeah reckon ill go with the lotus steels and quarter bumpers. Got two steels, need another two or three- will post up in the wanted section. When it comes to noise im easily persuaded, got the 40's and the manifold, just need the linkage, gaskets etc... would be rude not to
aux Posted January 1, 2007 Author Report Posted January 1, 2007 oh so nice i that pick up a subaru? Yes 'it' is.. 1988 Subaru 1800 MV, its my daily.
Chris! Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 dont put overiders on quarter bumpers Looks cool, but you need top unweld that door Stick to the steel you know it makes sence
