They're maybe hoping you'll back down with the threat of police action.

Suppose its up to you. A bit of a gamble seeing as your lively hood could be at risk. It all depends on how you think the CPS will see it.

or if indeed they will carryout their threat.

If you are arrested and prosecuted will you have to pay back anything? After all you will have no livelihood to pay for it and besides thats what insurance is for.

Maybe you should text back offering the £80 minus ebay fees and if that is not acceptable its up to them, but point out that in the unlikely chance you are prosecuted they will get nothing as you will have no income to pay any damages, so your current offer is the best they will get. meanwhile change everything you own into someone else name :lol::lol:

If you want to be a smartass suggest if they want more money they should claim of their car insurance.

Personally? I'd call her bluff and see how far she will take it. if she doesn't want the 80 quid then it would be her loss in my book.

And just out of interest I think £80 is too much for that old scrapper

I would say I am prepared to go to court. The CPS need a fair bit of proof, and the first thing they will ask is how you actually got the car. As Daggle said theft is defined as the intention to deliberately deprive a legal owner of their property. As you asked them to remove the car, it's clear they knew you had it, and you are not claiming it dishostestly.

im more than prepared to go to court coz i totally disagree with payin them, just worried bout the outcome from court , like you say its my decision , im gonna text them now n offer the £80 as i think its fair as i gotta consider my time for recovery, my fuel, and the fact that ive had to pay rent at the land where the car was stored , ill let you know what she says

well, where do i start, 3k plus on storage, then theres obviously the £60 recovery, to retrieve the voicmail the policewoman left me 25p , 3 weeks off work with the stress, and they would have been very busy weeks taxi, ing i reckon a grand a week, time speaking to my soliciter friend £5 per minute , ebay fee £7 to list it, time off work while the guy/wan*er came to collect it for an hour on a busy night £40 , time on here telling you guys all about it which ill do free coz love it on here (pass the sick bucket) lol, and time explaining to my bird that i wasnt doing this girl and that she wasnt doing this as a revenge attack .....pricless :tits:

seriosly tho, its not cost me anything i dont think, infact im up £80 ooppsss

Cheeky pikeys! If vengance pie is a meal best served warm then i'm told that rancid chopped chicken breast stuffed through their airbricks and then followed by a box of maggots is good. Apparently i'm told that when people are sitting there in their living room watching eastenders and all the maggotts hatch into flies - it's like a scene from Amytiville and they have to call the pest squad out...but of course i condone this sort of vengance naturally.
