GJUK Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 One hundred and ten thousand English Pounds. Errrr. No.
escortmatt Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 i thought it said 9 to 11 thousand until i focused nice car though
Daggle Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 That one is in my local Ford dealers in Maidstone, Haynes. Be a shame to see it go as it is a bit of a local legend, seems like they want to cash in on it , hopefully they have a BIG reserve on it and it won't sell and they have to put it back in the showroom, right next to the all the shiny new stuff
moredoorAsh Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 90000-110000 Surely thats miles covered Luvly looking motor though
Admin Vista Posted February 9, 2010 Admin Report Posted February 9, 2010 If it's an ex works car (and I don't know enough about them to know if it is or not) it might actually fetch that sort of figure. If not, no way.
Chud Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 I just can't believe it!!!!!! I used to work for Haynes and have been up close and personal to this stunning car. This is as it was when it came off the RAC Rally when John Taylor won in it. Has been kept at Haynes in a makeshift sort of Museum come storage shed for many years alongside many other Classic Fords but was a NO GO'ER,as in she was'nt running. I used to pester a couple of the blokes who were on the Rally Team at Haynes to get her going so we could go out for a spin in her but it always fell on deaf ears. David Haynes who ran and owned Haynes of Maidstone died a year or so back and now his son Andrew has taken the reins over must be having a clear out!!!! As my Brother Daggle said earlier they used to put her in the showroom from time to time and we always went down there to drool over it. I'm shocked, totally totally shocked !!
Mickey Stewart Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 Haynes in Maidstone has several osf locked away, the old boy who sadly passed away was a bit of a collector and has just about every mk1 ever made...., not sure its worth the price they want though, there is also a guy in Maidstone who owns lots of mint mk1 escorts including a twin cam that owns a used car sale dealership. lucky bastads
Rick Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 money better spent on bricks and mortar i think. I dont love old fords that much
