ASBO CAPRI Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 dont wana sound daft but wot is that? I was thinking same thing when I saw bottom pic. It apperars the rockers are built into the rocker cover. I've never seen anything like that before.

Toby Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 I can't speak for the merits. The theory is, the end rockers aren't very well supported in the standard set up, so this cover increases the rigidity of the rocker gear with more support for the centre areas of the rocker shaft too. This should lead to less flex of the shaft and potentially more of the desired cam lift making it as far as the valves. It looks like you've made a superb job of spivving it up
you'll get 10s on that Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 Yeah makes the whole top end more ridgid. Dave Edmunds had a billet assembly made by Barnby Engineering on his legendry X/Flow . Apparently worked as a great heat sink as well...so much so that you could hardly touch it after spirited use. ps Thanks for the work you did for Martin mate
