Doc Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Waste of money ! spend twenty grand and build your own car !
bomber1 Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 ill have 2 then please if there that cheap
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 For the history the car has got, £100.000 doesn't seem too bad, BUT let's face it, it will just end up an expensive ornament for someone and never ever see the road again
Retromotorsport Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Nice to see a Gp4 car using an ARB instead of Comp Struts Would i buy it .... nope but then history dosnt flaot my boat ..
mk1super Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 If i won the lotto i would, but ive more chance of being run over by a bus
mk2_escort_chick Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 I'll give him 20p, half a bottle of water and a paperclip for it I'm sorry
DEP Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Loadsa of money But i d buy it if i was a collector
antz Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 buy it and drive it in the end its the same as every other mk2 escort on the road! as long as its kept clean and looked after then lets go racing itll be alright
Johnson Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 lovely car but i would never buy it. it would be alot more fun to build your own at a fraction of the price and if you did have an accident, its not the end of the world,
Retromotorsport Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 lovely car but i would never buy it. it would be alot more fun to build your own at a fraction of the price and if you did have an accident, its not the end of the world, most works cars are like "triggers broom" so it dosn't really matter if it dinked
Mark2Mark Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 As eckie said if i won the lotterey i'd have it AND build myself one to use aswell
slimrs Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 wonder if he would part x it for a 3 bed semi
tim Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 wonder if he would part x it for a 3 bed semi u can live in a car but u cant rally a house
Gareth Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 It's a collector that loves rallying's dream I like it 'cuz of the history, & its still on its original shell. That alone makes it more unique than a lot of 'preserved rally car.' "Absolutely mint, rebuilt into a Mexico shell 5 years ago...." Still wouldn't buy it tho.
slimrs Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 wonder if he would part x it for a 3 bed semi u can live in a car but u cant rally a house very true, i can live in the estate theres loads of room in there lol
Pipster007 Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 very true, i can live in the estate theres loads of room in there lol Unless it's a housing estate, where you'd have even more rooms
HAZZAR Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Whats next http://81.17.252.70/~rally/classified.p ... 104_184003 Bet i know what the bank manager says i will offer him a tenner
quickrack Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 But will it ever be driven. Dont think so and, it is after all, a car designed to be driven hard.
Pipster007 Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 If I was able to afford it (and the only way to afford it would be if I was a millionaire). I would enter it into as many races as possible, and somehow, get Vatanan to drive in each round........................................Only 'cos I know I would smack it into a tree or roll it or somehow destroy it. At least if he kills it, it would have been killed by the bloke who should have done it nearly 30 yrs ago
Cookie Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Absoulutly bonkers, now I love osf as much as any other die hard on here, but if i had £100k to spend on a car it would not be that at the top of my shopping list, i would rather spend £20k building my own monster escort, £10k on a nice reliable family runaround and the £70k change on a Ferrari..
marky4 Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 evan if i won the lottery i still wouldn't but it i'd build my own
