wouldn,t worry about the reg its probably already changed. I got my sisters car back on tuesday morning after it was stolen sat night the police got involved and said they want it recovered to check for fingerprints surprise surprise they found nothing and then told us we had to pay £150 recovery charge. the police aren't much help most the time

As far as I can tell, the reg was genuine, I ran the VIN through Ford Etis, and they matched. It's just that it's on a SORN. So they will be merrily running about in it till the DVLA catches them.

Round two! Caught three of the fookers this time today. Saw em trying to lift me spare 6 stud axle into a white Mk5. Went haring out again, swearing like a banshee! God their faces were a picture. Fook knows what I looked like. I was just literally doing me hair, and still had a can of shine tonic in me hand. If it wasn't for the fact it was over three quid a can they would have got a face full. I tried to stop em driving off, one gave me a little push. This er, incensed me, seriously! Squaring up to the hairy little fooker put him off though. Just waiting for the plod to give a statement, much good it will do.

got it round here too, had my capri fuel tank plus loads of other bits on the drive. Came in from work one night and the tank was gone, it was fooked but thats not the point. It was buried under a lot of other stuff, so they've been on my drive poking around and moving things.

Someone else knocked on the door asking if they could take my cologne away in their van for scrap. Luckily my stepdaughter who visits once a week was in the house and they asked her, she told them no and off they went. At least they asked. But that was round the back of the house so its making me wonder who is wandering round on my property while I am out.

we had a run in with pikeys when i lived in bedford the police dont like to get involved as they then become responsible for making sure they all behave and that the kids are in school and go, and they really cant be arsed with them, and that came from the police sarg himself, so really there is nothing you or anyone here can do legally about the low life but on the other hand there`s the otherway to deal with it and see how quick the police get involved in it

Having only just read this full post i gotta say I am livid and really not impressed  Daggle posted a 'Well Done' early on but I'd love to have a reaction from him now. And I'd also like a decent formal explanation as to how this was allowed to happed.

You can bet 100% if I took my RS out without tax it would be spotted, taken and crushed before I had time to say 'Hang on a minute...'

Always the wrong people being targeted - makes my blood boil! I feel really let down and it wasnt even my stuff being stolen.

Makes me want to go and steal something - either way I'll be up on things at the end of the day, either I'll get what I stole, or I'll be let off, or if I get caught and the owner clobbers me then I'LL sue him and I'll win £££.

Re-fooking-diculous!!! There's no deterent.
