FredTransit Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 Was at home today and heard some noises outside. There's been a lot of council work in the street, so I thought it was some workmen chucking roofing slates in a skip. I looked out though, and saw a blue LWB Mk6 parked over my dropped step, so I hared downstairs and out the front door. As I got round the front of the vans on the yard, I saw them about to load the rear roof section off one of the scrappers into the van!! WOT THE FOOK!! That was my first words to them. Now I was on my own, but was soooo incensed trust me I didn't need any help! I told em in no uncertain terms to put it back. That and me SPARE COLOGNE THAT WAS ALREADY IN THE VAN As I stalked about being loud, they told me to take down the reg of the van if I wanted to, which told me that it probably wasn't registered to them. I then noticed the key was in the ignition, so I took it out as I called the Police! It was the only way I could stop them, they were two thieving bastards in their mid twenties, and I thought if they had legged it I was a Mk6 up on the deal. They didn't, and carried on arguing the toss that they had made some mistake (oooo yeeeeesss, what a mistake!) and kept yelling and swearing, which was handy as it was all recorded on the 999 call. To their credit, the police arrived quickly, and arrested them. It turns out the van is not taxed and on a SORN. Happy days.....
Tom Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 Fookin hell! Nice one! You've got some big balls (ahem) and you won. fantastic!!!
FredTransit Posted March 16, 2010 Author Report Posted March 16, 2010 I can honestly say if they had started I would have hurt them, and they would not be having kids any time soon. I would have to make it clear I would have only been defending myself......
Daggle Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 BRILLIANT!!! Nice one Fred, have a pint on me , or a glass of wine
Fiesta Steve Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 Nice one Fred and the fuzz who turned up in good time
FredTransit Posted March 16, 2010 Author Report Posted March 16, 2010 BRILLIANT!!! Nice one Fred, have a pint on me , or a glass of wine Thanks mate, can you explain to me why the van is till round the corner where it was left? It's not taxed and is on a SORN. Reg KP06 WBW. I was told by the officer who took my statement they weren't insured to drive it. Shame really cos I am, and could have helped em out..... BTW they also left an oil slick the length of me SWB on the pavement where they dragged the engine to the van, so the council are coming to clear that in the morning. That and hopefully take the scrote's van away!

FredTransit Posted March 16, 2010 Author Report Posted March 16, 2010 Fantastic. Just had a call from the police. Yes, at 10pm. They have told me they have released the two thieving scum without charge, as per the CPS instructions. Unbelievably the officer couldn't believe I was displeased by this. Oh, and they were allowed to drive off in their untaxed, sorn'd van.
Copey Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 Fantastic. Just had a call from the police. Yes, at 10pm. Oh, and they were allowed to drive off in their untaxed, sorn'd van. now thats just backwards!!! no wonder people drive about with no tax and/or ins!!!
FredTransit Posted March 16, 2010 Author Report Posted March 16, 2010 The officer tells me that it's not in the police power to seize untaxed vehicles. I can't believe they are getting away with this. Somebody explain to me why we work for a living?
Copey Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 The officer tells me that it's not in the police power to seize untaxed vehicles. I can't believe they are getting away with this. Somebody explain to me why we work for a living? to fund all the people on the doll! keep up Fred

one-day Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 that's the law verses Pikey scum and guess what pikey scum are above the law surprised the police even arrested them..
Smudger105e Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 The SORN issue is one for the DVLA, although I don't understand why the Police didn't advise the DVLA to clamp or tow it away...
ratman Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 Why done the out come of this not suprise me Good on you fred for standing up to them
sambo Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 WTF ??? How can they just release them? They were stealing your property Fred?!?! Not to mention the driving without tax etc. ? I dont get it?
FredTransit Posted March 17, 2010 Author Report Posted March 17, 2010 it's now clear it's pointless involving the police, if all the CPS are going to do is let the little darlings go home, all that's done is stopped the police doing something like breaking into some old dear's house when she's fallen over.
