or have prices of our beloved old skool fords rocketed in the last year?

for instance when i bought my escort in may 2005 the best condition mk2 escort 4doos were worth £1000 TOPS! and i paid that for mine because of its condition.manky ones were worth absolutely nothing.

now i look around and even the rooont ones are worth something and top condition 4doors are worth anything FROM £1000 up to £2000.

thats a 100% increase in just over a year

i know that in the last 5 years prices have gone silly for some models or OSF but even the 'bargain 4doors' seem to be rocketing in price.

has anyone else noticed this fact?

all you need to do is take a copy of classic ford from last year and compare it to this year and you will easily recognise that there is a lot less cars out there and that the price has risen considerable

I remember 4 for a penny  The local post office used to let me buy 20 John player special when i was 7 coz me mum used to send me up the road to get them. 20 pack for less than a quid. I used to imagine what i could buy with that crisp pound note.

yeh prices have rocketed!

i remember when my dads cortina crayford was worth NOTHING so he swapped it for a old reliant scimitar worth just as little.

then his old crayford turned up on ebay 3 months ago fully restored with an asking price of £5300!..oh he was so unhappy he sold it. glad its still around though.

i rememe when a curly wurly choc bar was 10p and now they are 25p!

prices are going a bit crazy for cars and parts.

but there are still bargains out there to be had, its just finding them.

example: my mk1 v6 cologne capri cost £200.

my other mk1 owes me about £350 (taxd &motd).

its true. baragisn can be had but you have to be damn lucky to get them!

Yeah, I got the anglia and was looking at the wings thinking 'oh god I'm looking at a hefty bill from expressed', my dad opened classic ford saying they shouldn't be that much, pointed out a set for $40 until I pointed out to him they were fibrglass and opened the ad to the tin ones.

I thought Igot well ripped off when I bought the Mk1, but the prices have gone up even further, I'm hyoping selling the Mk1 will sort some panels for the 105E, but seems that even that will only get me some wings & front panel.
