About a month ago I sold something on Ebay which the buyer never paid for, so I managed to get my fee's back after opening a dispute, a few days later the "buyer" contacted me saying there had been a death in the family and they would sort payment upon their return as their out of the country, then nothing until a week ago, then...

 

I relisted the item, putting them on my blocked bidders list, they then contacted me again saying sorry for the agro but things had taken longer to sort out than they had expected, could I remove them from the sin bin and they would buy the item and pay immediately.

 

Being the upstanding pillar of the community that I am (not) I unblocked them and allowed them to "buy" the item, needless to say they never paid, then no contact until today when I got an email from the husband saying that his wife brought something from me a month ago and it hasn't turned up, to which I replied that it wont arrive unless you pay for it, its simple English logic, the email he sent contained a different address to the first address suppiled and a telephone number, so I rang, and it doesn't exist.

 

Then an hour ago they left good feedback, and sent an email, this time from the wife, with more telephone numbers and the original address, saying the husband isn't handling things well since the death in the family and that she has paid and doubled the courier fee to make up for the hassle, and of course she hasn't paid, that would be too simple.

 

So I've checked both addresses given and the first doesn't exist according to google maps, the second does, but a quick search shows that its an empty bungalow thats for sale

 

Further checks show that the names are real, and that they are married, they have previous good feedback and basically if its a scam then its the worst organised ever as they've used all their own details except for a false address and telephone number (the address is shown in the contact details on ebay) and a second address thats empty, all their emails have come through Ebay so theres no way they can deny sending them, so whats the point?

 

I did think at first it was going to be a send the goods and they will reverse payment deal, then a "we've paid but havent got the goods" deal, but neither can work for them now, although showing their emails to a psychiatrist could probably get them sectioned under the mental health act, you cant beat Ebay, its a game for all the family

You get some right a$$holes on ebay coming up with a load of bull ***t excuses, spoils it for everyone else . Mate I'd block them and relist your item.

all i do is say i am prepared to wrap at no extra and they can arrange thier own courier at thier expense, as for the dodget guy i would say payment by cheque only and will post when funds cleared

not a fan of selling on there any more sold a part on there posted it got good feedback etc etc then a week an a half later saids the item never turned up so i contacted r/mail who contacted them an will not talk to r/mail so i basically lost out on the insured item e bay paid them there money back an asked me to pay them i held back on payment till i heard from r/mail an told e bay what has been going on all i kept getting was snotty e mails from bay about baylifs recovering the money if i ever do sell parts again it will only be recored mail only please do the same if the item has any value too many dishonest buyers nowadays

Their blocked again now anyway, theres some strange people about...

 

I just cant see the use in hitting the buy it now button twice and not paying twice, checked their feedback today and they brought something else and paid for it this morning so it must just be me their messing about

Ive just recently brought something off a seller in Newcastle so on his instruction sent postal orders as his paypal had a problem , well 12 days on ive heard nowt even after i sent him a few times asking for a reply but all gone quiet ill have to contact ebay soon and get them involved though i dont hold out any hope ..........i really feel like driving up there though its too far and knocking on his door and just sorting it my way
