but kev its not a perfectly good shell. its a filler filled rust bucket mate. cant afford another full body resto so it has to stay rough. :ykt:

Having somewhere to do it would be the biggest problem as its not a quick job as you would probably know and as i have 2 old skool projects in my garage at the moment time is precious , have you sorted a toughened screen for it as the older ones cant be cut down , i used to use 6mm perspex back then and say the screen was tempory but you could never tell ................

Just because it's chopped it doesn't have to ruin it. You can do a subtle chop so that when people look at it unless it is parked next to another you can quite tell what's different.

 

Here's a pic of my mates chopped Consul Classic. I don't think he has ruined it IMHO

don't do it!!!....as i want to do mine, 2" looks great, park it next to a mustang and count the similarities!

4" looks shyte...........and mine ain't really a 2 door, so i can do what i fookin like without devaluing it! :thumbsup:

Also, if you chop it your gonna mess up the lovely paint job. lol :mrgreen::mrgreen:

 

now sly stop it, you know i hate ragtops. as for the paint, i am a bit worried about spoiling my £50 paint job mate but i know a man who can redo it if i buy him a new paint brush :mrgreen::mrgreen:
