I bought it a few times, also fast car, the thing I found ironic was, in both mags, so many of the cars were standard power 1.0 - 1.6 chav cars with no power mods and huge terrible body kits bolted on.

Thats how the 'max power' scene is now. You can't tune new cars the same as these old ones, plus they can't afford the insurance that comes with it so they just whack on a big body kit and 17"+ wheels.

As said kids can't afford to do any mods cos of the insurance and cost of running at their ages.

Up until 5 years or so ago i was doing loads of mods / audio installs etc. to the 18 year olds cars, these days a average cost to insure starts at £2k

I'm sure that has made a huge difference to these mags as it has to me as a business.

I have just been sorting through some old mags and most are from 1997/8 onwards, I'd sell them if I thought anyone would buy them lol. Hang on a minute, if maxi pants magazine is dead maybe my old mags are worth a few quid

there goes the inspiration for fibreglass body pannels with aerospace technology in wind tunnel engineering, was a great source for technical information on reducing wind resistance and making your car look stunning and with new inventive ways on how to stuff speakers in every blank spot of your car.....

... no idea what im saying, never followed it and personally hate those mods

Just remember it shows a Bad trend! 10 years from now if its not standard it wont be legal on the road, You OSF'ers need to remember that! The people behind these mags and at cruises back in the day did a lot to keep the modified world alive! half the companys about now that sell old skool parts have been kept alive by the plastic world!

It was a good mag back in the day 10 years ago when the Cruise world was huge! how ever much plastic tat there was at cruises was made up for by the "Built in a shed" road rockets that were there,

I even got shed of the cruise in the mag on 3 occasions with a "retro" mk1 fezza and mk4 Scort, They did say my paint was shit brown at reading cruise though :( lol them were the days
