X-pack-Glyn Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 I run a capri show just 5 mins off junc 13 of the M1 every july, the show has been steadily growing in the last 10 years and this will be the 11th show, last year we had just under 100 cars but this year id like more, also id like a few more old skools there, so if youre interested give us a shout as id like to see OSF there flying the banner. the show itself is located in a private field and get this, part of the grounds of the local boozing club which means, yes, we have access to all the bars and indoor entertainment too, no crappy outdoor bar drinking from plastic pint pots for us... it gets better too, priced at a tenner entry, not per person, but per car regardless of how many passengers you have, that includes camping too. Last year escort21 came and if youre in any doubt give him a pm, our show is pretty chilled and layed back, and a bloody good laugh, now recognized as one of THE shows in the capri circles. the show is invite and advance ticket only, the tickets will be available from me next month, i have a limit on around 15 OSF cars which is pretty much about the limit on cars everyone else gets, but if need be i can get more tickets. if you need to see more on the show have a look on milton keynes capri club website.

X-pack-Glyn Posted January 17, 2007 Author Report Posted January 17, 2007 Not selling it very well? where have i gone wrong? this is a long standing show thats been going for years, every year getting bigger and bigger, primarily capris so far but id like a few escorts, anglias and cortinas etc... i dont know about selling it very well but hows this, 4 years ago i had 3 from the laser page, i have now reserved car 15 tickets allready for the laser page, last year 7 cars from scotland, loved it and bringing 9 more this year... Please note this show has nothing at all to do with CCI, its a social gathering (piss up) of likeminded people, the cost of the tenner per car just goes into the rent of the field, bars, entertainment etc etc.

phili2000 Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 Come on Guys I will be there (Well I have No excuse being the Secretary) this show is one of the Best Capri shows in the Country and Glyn is right it is getting bigger and bigger £10 for the weekend and a very very cheap bar and entertainment all in side. You will pay more than that to go to a day show. It would good to see old skool flying the flag and meet you guys as well .

V8ian Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 If the OSFDC day is on Saturday night, and I know there are more than a few will be staying overnight its not out of your way to pop in for a couple on your way home if you are so inclined, MK is just the other side of the M1 motorway J14 where you join from the Pod, The show cant be more than 10 mins from the motorway, Nothing in MK is more than 10mins from the M1, that is unless you are lost

X-pack-Glyn Posted February 12, 2007 Author Report Posted February 12, 2007 Ian, its just off junc 13 mate, in marston mortaine just off the 421. its just a fiver for the sunday if you wana bring your car in, but if you wana park up out the front and walk round and mingle then its free, hopefully we will have the space as its looking like 100 cars for the weekend so far. i was trying to get an OSF pitch for the weekend sat-sun if poss, something like 10 cars or so.
