V8ian Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 as the titles says really, I was looking at a house in that area
evil knievel Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 Not a huge amount. A few small car shows scattered about, a few bigger ones here and there! Quite a few good restaurants, pubs, carnivals etc... But everything is VERY expensive. £3.30 to £3.70 a pint can be expected. Food is extortionate. But the views are lovely!
Fiesta Steve Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 As above nothing happens in East Sussex, well there was a big fight near Hastings a long time ago..
Grizzley Dell Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 As above nothing happens in East Sussex, well there was a big fight near Hastings a long time ago.. yeah! but it was a bloody big fight mate.
mk1estate Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 Where in East Sussex are you thinking of going, seems that so far im the only one who lives down here who has replied lol. Im in Bexhill which is near Hastings and i suppose it all depends where your thinking of moving to as some parts are better than others. Best thing in Hastings is the OSF which i hope will come down here again this year. not much in the way of car show but we do have a good couple which are normally well turned out ie the Bexhill 100
V8ian Posted February 26, 2011 Author Report Posted February 26, 2011 I was looking at the bexhill area, not totally sure yet, Battle is also on the list,
w p e Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 as the titles says really, I was looking at a house in that area rusty cars is what happens by the sea . and you could always stroll along by the delawar pavilion woop woop . and THE shop might be open
Grizzley Dell Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 bexhill has changed a lot in last few years. i got sent to live there 20 + years ago and it was a lovely, quaint, sleepy, boring little town that at 18 reminded me of a morgue. now theyve got fried chicken shops, hoodies and indian convenience stores, does every bloody town have to end up the same.
Mrs O/H/C Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 The last time i went to Bexhill as I had a friend that used to live there which was approx 10 years ago...it was like a ghost town

mk1estate Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 I moved from Surrey to Bexhill 30 years ago and yes its a lot quieter than the mini London that Surrey has become. There is main line trains direct to london from here as well as a main trunk road. do i miss Surrey? ... not one bit, give me the quieter life anyday. I was born in a village called Fetcham which is near Leatherhead and since the M25 opened it became a mini London

I wouldnt move tho Hastings is one of the wetest places in the country, something to do with how the clouds move over the downs and Hastings gets pissed on
