SebringRS Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 We all know the outcome of that one Dad jacked the mk2 up today to check the brakes, bit of wind and a sh*t scissor jack......... Didnt end well
SebringRS Posted April 4, 2011 Author Report Posted April 4, 2011 ouch,is he still swearing Every so often when he catches it or the dog licks it Had to put his socks on for him
baz105e Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 could've been worse, my body looked like that all over when my car fell off of its axle stands with me under it
SebringRS Posted April 4, 2011 Author Report Posted April 4, 2011 Kids, don't u luv em. Thanx Tom No problem
over_head_cam Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 Ouchy Can I just say though... Scissor jack Skippy??
SebringRS Posted April 4, 2011 Author Report Posted April 4, 2011 Has gone down alot now, swelling isn't so bad and it's bruising quite well As for scissor jack, it was scissor jacked up (due to proper jack being at the workshop) and he had just put the axle stands under it, saw it start to drop, so for some reason went to grab the axle stand why? He doesnt know, which then jammed his hand in a mk2 escort front panel and axle stand sandwich somehow went into the hulk mode and lifted the car to free his hand As for the car, brake disc is fine, front panel is creased a little where his hand was, but shall be pushed into shape by the weekend

SebringRS Posted April 5, 2011 Author Report Posted April 5, 2011 Its much better this morning, not as swolen
Trevmk3 Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 Had to put his socks on for him now why would you put his socks on his hands Tom looked like it could of been sore for a while
SebringRS Posted April 5, 2011 Author Report Posted April 5, 2011 And yeah, all that hurts now is the bruised nail, the sound of my mum saying "you'll probably have to have it drilled" isnt helping him either
RossMK2 Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 nasty i had a nail like that when i hit it full on with a nylon hammer at work whilst flatterning a small peice of sheet metal in january my finger just popped blood everywhere then couple months after i lost the nail make sure its better ready for wales run
LGreen Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 if its still massively bruised under the nail you need to relieve the pressure, get a good drill bit, not connecte to a drill thats a bit much, and just roll it back and forward in your fingers untill the blood comes out, it will just stop the thumb throbbing then. btw im not a doctor, just something my dad had to do!
Fiesta Steve Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 nasty i had a nail like that when i hit it full on with a nylon hammer at work whilst flatterning a small peice of sheet metal in january my finger just popped blood everywhere then couple months after i lost the nail make sure its better ready for wales run Mine did the same when I dropped a tail lift off a truck on my finger, you get a brand new nail free though
