4DOOR-SHERWOOD Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 Just wondered if anyone is into bikes on here? I had my bike out for the first time last night and it was great blasting around! I go to scotland every year with my dad and a few friends for a bit of a riding holiday so getting it all ready!
PaulMags Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 yes m8 i've always been into my bikes.started of with the BSA's so showing my age a bit but i have a gsxr 1000 and theres only one way to ride it and thats flat out where ever i go
lead foot Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 gave up bikes 3 years ago the last two bikes i had were a honda hornet 600, and a honda fireblade i am hoping to get another bike in the not to distant future, i always had bikes from the age of 16 , still miss the "freedom" a bike gives you
Admin Vista Posted May 19, 2011 Admin Report Posted May 19, 2011 I also gave up bikes a few years back. My last two were a GPZ900R followed by a VFR800. I was all set for a change of tack and really fancied a Harley V-rod when a close friend was killed on his bike and it rather dampened my bike enthusiasm. I have two young kids now so it's unlikely I'll ever return to bikes.
Jiffer Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 I lost my best mate on one 15 years ago and thats what stoped me and bikes, I have thouht about getting one recently espcialy since my landrover got nicked I considered getting one with the insurance payout but then I remember I never was very good on two wheels, when I did get my knee down it was swiftly followed by my head.
Trevmk3 Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 Im into bikes but have never had the spare money to do my test and buy one. My brother has 3, a couple of mates have them or have had them in the past, and im really into bike racing. Have lost a mate years ago to a bike crash on the road, he used to race R6's at that time too
4DOOR-SHERWOOD Posted May 19, 2011 Author Report Posted May 19, 2011 Bikes do give a good freedom feel, sad to hear how many people have lost friends on them tho! GSXR1000 sounds fun Paul! I had a R6 but sold it and got a ZRX1100 that looks retro! The R6 was fun but no good for the long weekends touring...it wrecked my back n wrists so hence why im now upright on the Kawasaki! My dad has a few bikes and when we go away he is riding a GSX1400 and I love that thing!
Trevmk3 Posted May 20, 2011 Report Posted May 20, 2011 I like them GSX1400's as they are my size of machine build wise My brothers currently got a 600 Ninja, DRZ400 and a DR250, but hasnt been riding for a while as he got knocked off and broke his wrist and had it Herbert screwed and the a bone graft on it
JP. Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 I am. Have three 1000+ machines here. One as a daily for the wife... One as a daily for me....... One just for fun......
Nik3100 Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 Yep Last bike was a Hayabusa in the Tas Relentless colours My current one is a K3 Gixxer 1000
