despite all the did he or didnt he stories on there, the driver of the red porsche did live, i've seen the longer version, but has to be said that his fire suit was burned more or less all the way through on some parts of his body so pretty serious burns, the fire crews whenthey arrived extinguished the car and dragged him out laying him on the floor and he was writhing around alot and even managed to stand and walk (just about) before he was flung into a medical van and taken to hospital.

Thanks for telling me that Micky. I didn't know whether or not to post it as I didn't know if he survived. I am pleased he did though!:D

He did live, but it was a Ferarri F355. The driver is a world famous and well respected japanese driver, Tetsuya Ota. He sued the the owners and organisers of the track for neglegence. Mainly because every governing body in the spectrum of motorsport were horrified to find out about the conditions that day. No flags were issued to slow the race due to the weather and when they did finally get a flag out it was only one, due to the poor visibilty it was pointless....this is wht the white porsche hits the ferrari so hard.

A clip of him leaving the car, albeit burned (not graphic) can be seen at http://videos.streetfire.net/search/cra ... 561c90.htm

As you can see by the marshalls lack of professionalism and medical skills, its no suprise that he won millions.

Chris....yes, i know, i'm a geek.
