Very sad to hear ......... and already people are saying why was he doing 130 mph in a old banger :banghead::banghead:

Most of our "old bangers" cars are safer then the "new cars" they drive everyday.

Very sad day ,i spoke via email a few times to fill some of the gaps of the cars history ,i nearly bought it a few years ago ,but he beat me to it .

It was built and owned in the late 80s by jeff lawrence and was featured in many mags of the time ,gather it had been redone and was well engineered by racing family ,so something must have gone wrong .

I could believe my eyes tonight when i saw the car on a truck at york dragway on ch5 news ,our thoughts are with the family

Also spare a thought for 18 year old Ben Gautrey who died yesterday at Cadwell park in the supersport 600 race , for Adrian McFarland was tragically killed during a race in the Czech Republic and for 20 year old road racer W@yne Hamilton had died in the Manx Grand Prix.

All in all a bad weekend for British motor racers.

RIP to them all.

By all accounts it was a fractured halfshaft causing it to lurch sideways sending it into a flip.

Truely, deeply, sad times.

Rest in peace KC.
