Wessie Posted September 20, 2006 Report Posted September 20, 2006 u cant trust anyone nowadays. this country is a joke - if the scum that nicked his car ever get caught they'd only get a slap on the wrist
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted September 20, 2006 Report Posted September 20, 2006 I do feel for the chap, what a horrible thing to happen. There is just too much of this going on of late, and it is obviously to do with the recent price hikes in certain models of Old Ford's. This primarily being brought about since eBay!!! However, I can't believe that the owners of these cars that have been stolen have not had security fitted to them! We live in a world now where car security has improved drastcally, and as such, so have the thiefs techniques in taking the cars. They now go armed with code grabbers to steal the remote locking codes, key readers to to steal the immobiliser transponder codes, or taking a trusty stick with a coat hanger to fish car key's out of letter boxes! So, now they are reverting back to the older vehicle with minimum security, and let's face it, some Escorts at the moment are worth as much as a nearly new Focus or equivilent, and they were the car of choice for car thieves when they were new!!! My cars have always been belled up to the eye balls, I don't trust anyone. People should seriously consider paying out for a decent security system. I would be buggered if I was going to spend serious amounts of cash and hours of my time creating a nice car for someone to come and take it with no effort!!! GET BELLED UP! This isn't a dig at this poor chap, far from it, but we now live in an age where policework is done by CCTV & speed camera's. They just don't seem to be interested in anything else!!! I really hope he get's it back!
mk2 stu Posted September 20, 2006 Report Posted September 20, 2006 I feel absolutely gutted for the bloke, i'm currently three years into my project and couldnt even tell you how how many days and nights i've spent workin on it, if someone stole it after i finished i wouldnt stop untill i found the scum, i'd do time for it i swear!!! Find The F@$&ers And Hang Em!!!!!!!
tim Posted September 20, 2006 Report Posted September 20, 2006 The car is one of only 75 of its type around. what type is that then
Dom Posted September 20, 2006 Report Posted September 20, 2006 Thats what I thought because I know Jimsiss has got one and I've got one and loads of people have got them. Clearly something more sinister is afoot! I wouldn't hang them, thats too good for them. 1 thing is to steal someones car but stealing someones pride and joy, thats just disgusting.
over_head_cam Posted September 20, 2006 Report Posted September 20, 2006 And it's so easy to buy tags and books for dead escorts too, so the theiving will continue
mk1mexico Posted September 20, 2006 Report Posted September 20, 2006 moral of the story dont buy tags off ebay and report anyone selling them
Cookie Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 I wouldn't hang them, thats too good for them Fookin right, would be over to quick, name of the game is make the Apple Pies suffer! the thieving scummy pr*cks would be kidnapped and taken down my garage, tied to a piller and experimented on with a whole host of air tools, and yes i am DEADLY serious! I have nothing but a loathing of people who take anything that don't belong to them let alone something that has blood, sweat and tears put into it! Now where's the 40 grit da disc
skim Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 I think I'll do this when I get my car on the road http://buysellcortina.co.uk/forums/inde ... t&p=133041
Danmex Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 I feel for the bloke and all that, but whats so special about this guy that he gets in the Sun and on the BBC? better cars than that go missing every year from Ford Fair etc
Twinkle Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 I feel for the bloke and all that, but whats so special about this guy that he gets in the Sun and on the BBC? better cars than that go missing every year from Ford Fair etc maybe we should contact the news desks and point out that this is happening so frquently and see if they want to do an article, maybe if the general public were more aware of how often it is happening it may help
Johnson Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 Really feel for him, this is becoming to often.
