I was home on leave from the Army, so we were giving it a bit of gravel practice in my 1300 Sport. Later I fitted a 1750 crossflow from Bracknell Autosport and had it forest arched and resprayed. Traded that in for a 2.0S Capri when I was 19, as I was up and down the motorway so much. 2nd set of RS pics is exactly the same place 28 years later, only now tarmaced. Looks like the only thing that's grown up is the trees... 3

luckyjim Posted January 19, 2015 Report Posted January 19, 2015 oh yes jo,I still have the escort (and the wife unfortunately lol)but the plan is to shoot that pic again when the car is done,with our grandson there too.my son Kristopher is 30 now,daughter Katie is 26 and grandson ryan is 4.they argue about inheriting the escort lol, here is another pic from that day. 1

Although you can see the state of the poor car, even the wheels and then the finished article, only to do about 600 miles before time stood still for her. Hope you enjoy the pics. Last image was about 7 years back.....Hope I haven't posted too many here, as not many of these have pictures of me in them. Cheers. 2

stephens_xpack Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 I actually pushed her out for the above photo as I was selling her, so although she still looked the part body wise, probably closer to 15 years unused. 3 daughters take up a lot of time and money, just the way it goes. but yes I suppose a little is a fair comment. The time gap between the top pic with the finished car and me next to it and the bottom selling pic probably about 17 years, so she has been stored in good conditions. I have literally just bought a mega service kit from Tickover and the plan is to make one show before the end of September, hopefully anyway.
