Mintex pads- any good?

I need to change my front pads soon, i've got EBC green stuff on at the moment, but i'm wondering if Mintex 1144's are better or worse than the EBC's.

Anyone using 1144's? Any feedback on them would be great. Cheers

very good for fast road and track, we use them in the rally cars at work and i know of alot of people who use them time after time

I use Mintex pads on the front of my rally car.

 

Personally I wouldn't use anything else,

 

had green stuff on the front of the STi Subaru, Wow! How crap did they work!!!

Not saying that this is the case for all motors, but it was for the Impreza.

We have been using 1155's for both track and road use for the past 5 years ...... very good on the Scooby although 1144's would be better for road use.

 

They do give off a lot of brake dust though .... may or may not be important to you but brilliant pads.

 

Never tried EBC so can't comment but wouldn't use anything other than Mintex.

I've heard a few different people say Green stuff are quite bad. They're probably OK driving around town

i run 1144's, very good indeed, but they make loads of mess of your wheels, i also get a bit of a squeek with a light braking, not annoying, just aware of it. buy em!

I tried greenstuff in my standard mk2 cortina brakes.....thought they were awful for normal driving as they never got hot enough

my dad uses mintex ones on his rally car and they seem to work as he always comments on how good they are after each stage.

Looks like mintex are the way forward! I found the EBC's to be ok, quite a lot of dust for a supposed low dust pad though. Mind you, before them i tried halfrauds own pads, went for a brisk run and pulled up at some lights with smoke pouring off them! They came off very shortly after....

Yep 1144's on mine and work extremely well with Tarox discs!

defo the mintex, dad and i tried ebc's on the formula ford at Pembrey and they were f**ked after 5, yes 5 laps , mintex could run all day and the next

Can't comment on others but I'd definately recommend Mintex. Used them for years, 1144's.

Pads have been ordered, should be here for the weekend. Hoping to pick up some pepperpots with decent tyres as well, will be nice to have tread again!

Has anyone got 1 ebc greenstuff pad they can sell me? I know ists a strange ask but I "broke" one fitting it and refuse to pay £40 for a whole new set.

i found the green stuffs to be really good. low dust, good stopping power and they didn't overheat like the ferrodo's i had in there before.

 

i've got a spare set if any one wants them £35
