escortmad79 Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 pmsl tho when i was still at school we went off camping. my parents went to the butchers for the bbq meat. venison was in bugers, sausages etc. when we had eaten my sister chirps that was nice what was it que step dad youve just eaten bambie. took 2 days for my sister to talk to us again Venison's nice Eaten Ostrich & Kangaroo before too Badgers are hard b*stards! They can cause serious damage if you hit one of them!!
105Nick Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 Almost hit a badger the other day, god I'm so glad I didnt. Told a guy I work with and he said he hit one and his mate ran back to poke it with a stick as it was dead. As he did it woke up, shook off and chased them up the road, they can be right viscious little beggars. My grandad always said that years ago he was on the bus and it hit a pheasant, walked back later on and picked it up and had a nice diner out of it, but I guess times were very different back then. People nowadays seem to think that pork and chicken grows in plastic wrappers in rows or something, luckily we get a nice freshly shot duck in now and again and the odd lamb from the field, taste is so much better too.
Gonzo Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 Remind me to reinforce the front of my first osf so I don't have to pay millions to have it repaired if i hit something...
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 Jo, surely Deer is a bit richer than chicken...! When I was in Finland a few years ago I had Reindeer and there was no mistaking that for chicken! Antz, bad news. Did you see River Cottage a few years ago when Hugh Fernley-Wittingstall drove around the countryside in his Corsair cabrio scraping up the roadkill and cooking it up for supper?
atomic punk Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 Unlucky mate..... but at least he wont do it again I hit a pheasant in my focus doing at least 70mph, it split the lower part of the bumper and half the pheasant was later discovered tangled up in the rear suspension. It was worth it to see the guy behind getting lost in a shower of feathers
antz Posted January 31, 2007 Author Report Posted January 31, 2007 Gutted for ya antz, another thing to put on your list Didn't i hear talk of you having round lights at some point anyway? no im sticking with square could technically go for round but its common and ruins the look of the ghia in my opinion. im just glad the damage was done before i had all my new bodypanels put on! and thanks to g.s.escorts for some new headlight bowls at rapid speed
deluxe Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 this thread made a lot more sense after I had a look in my dictionary and found out that a pheasant is a bird and not a farmer like i thought first
