SebringRS Posted May 7, 2013 Report Posted May 7, 2013 Worth going for the more expensive ones? If so which ones are best, changing them in a few week before going to wales, like a mini service Just got off the shelf ones from my dad last time, but just wondered what you lot use/feel are better
Admin Vista Posted May 7, 2013 Admin Report Posted May 7, 2013 For your 1100 Tom? Just get standard plugs, as long you're not buying chinese knock offs for thruppence ha'penny none of the mainstream brands will be better or worse for you and you certainly won't notice any performance improvement from buying uprated plugs
SebringRS Posted May 7, 2013 Author Report Posted May 7, 2013 Nah, for the 1300 mate, its a bit hotter than the 1100 Spec isnt much to shout about, but its got a cam in it and a couple of lightened bits I keep looking at the accuspark ones, as I've got the electronic ignition from them and leads, just wondered if they worked good together And also the NGK, which ones? as last time i looked there was only a few to choose from, now there seems to be alot
Escort Mk1 4 Door Posted May 7, 2013 Report Posted May 7, 2013 there poo had running issues and idel hunting on them mate on pintos tbh
Admin Vista Posted May 7, 2013 Admin Report Posted May 7, 2013 I'd still just stick with standard plugs 1
Escort Mk1 4 Door Posted May 7, 2013 Report Posted May 7, 2013 ngk r's in mine same with my cvhs and zetecs i fit them too
Fiesta Steve Posted May 7, 2013 Report Posted May 7, 2013 As said, a standard NGK will be fine. I'm sure Accuspark don't make plugs, it'll probably just be their name on an NGK anyway !!
Escort Mk1 4 Door Posted May 7, 2013 Report Posted May 7, 2013 dont know who makes them but seen them make 2 pintos runn lumpy and hunt idle really weird tho As said, a standard NGK will be fine. I'm sure Accuspark don't make plugs, it'll probably just be their name on an NGK anyway !!
deadly456 Posted May 7, 2013 Report Posted May 7, 2013 gearbox100 is right,you not go wrong with BP6ES plugs 1
Fiesta Steve Posted May 8, 2013 Report Posted May 8, 2013 dont know who makes them but seen them make 2 pintos runn lumpy and hunt idle really weird tho As said, a standard NGK will be fine. I'm sure Accuspark don't make plugs, it'll probably just be their name on an NGK anyway !! Could be a cheap Chinese plug with their name on, worryingly !!
SebringRS Posted May 8, 2013 Author Report Posted May 8, 2013 These are the accuspark ones, and your probably right, either NGK or cheapo ones just with their name on...
RossMK2 Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 if them accu spark plugs are anything like the rotor arms in most ignition kits, they will be cheap and nasty
katana Posted May 10, 2013 Report Posted May 10, 2013 If they are trying to demo how good their plugs / leads / ignition system is..................they ain't doing a very good job! Those are about the weakest sparks i've seen in a long time! In open air if it isn't BIG - FAT - AND BLUE it isn't gonna help run an engine successfully! 1
