FlyingYeti Posted September 13, 2013 Report Posted September 13, 2013 Good morning all, I was wondering if it was ever an idea or already in the pipeline for maybe a weekend next year where a mass convoy go out to Germany to the Nurburgring. What a picture it would be, masses of OSF's hurtling round the nurburgring, couldnt think of anything better!!! 1
deltamal Posted September 13, 2013 Report Posted September 13, 2013 It's a blast going round there! did it last year on the Cortinas to Cortina run, went round in my Mk5 Cortina estate not the best car to do it in but the Mk3 wasn't ready in time for the trip.... 1

What are the chances of getting a big OSF convoy there next year? im sure Classic Ford Mag would come for the ride, would make a great feature!

If we could get as many people there as possible, Nurburgring by day all getting smashed on German beer by night, If Carlsberg did weekends....... 1

brettp Posted September 14, 2013 Report Posted September 14, 2013 Done the nurburgring in my capri finished building it the day before had no sleep and my mates trailered it out there was great very very scary very dangerous track as theres no run of .great beer beautiful scenery we was supposed to be doing spa but there was a problem at the track so went to the ring instead 1

Been there only to watch the races..... Count me in... might come along with the other Dutch OSF members..... If the "ring" still exists then... as its been bankrupt several times now.

aardvark101 Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 Just spoke to my buddy who went with a group last year, they got ferry late afternoon, hotel in Belgium for the night, then on to Germany with 2 nights in a 4* hotel about 15 mins from the ring Organiser emailed various hotels and haggled for best deal on a block booking cost for ferry an hotels £375.00. Obviously fuel, drinks and entrance to the ring was extra. Best bit of advice, Get the cash up front before making any bookings
