This is a very recognisable car due to its rarity!

Smallfield has a significant pikey population now is it just me putting 2 and 2 together here. such a rare car to get stolen it would be almost impossible to ring it or break it.

Garyv6100e I don't think you should be saying its down to pikeys if you have no proof? And by pikeys I'm guessing you mean travellers? Which being called names is very insulting I suggest you keep thoughtslike that to yourself

Devastating to loose such a great car! Whats a Pikey?

Nowdays, even people of lower standards (low lifes etc) can be refered to as Pikeys.

I don't think this is the work of Pikey's/Travellers per say, but is definitely the work of a "low life"!

My money is on this being someone in the Ford community (or loosely revolving around it), going on the car targeted, and the dedication in its removal. And lets face it, this car will be stripped of every nut and bolt, so they will also have an understanding of the value of individual parts!

Whatever walk of life they come from they need to be hurt not caught!

Surrey is a bad area for old fords going missing  and this is where selling log books go wrong like car could end up blue with a pinto in other wheels seats etc then is becomes hard to find i hope this is not the case the person gets his car back .

Interesting, I didnt realise there were still travellers in the UK any more? You learn something every day. Here in Australia it means something completely different, A Piker is a spoil sport that wont join in on what he rest of a group is doing. Not being a drinker I was called that every weekend at the start of the evening as my mates would call me a piker for not joining in with them for beer. By the end of he night I was everyones best friend though "your such a great mate can you drive my car home Im too pi***d",

I so hope this car gets found though, the thought of it broken up for parts is a travesty.

I don't think it has anything to do with Surrey, professional thieves will travel anywhere and further for the right car!

That makes my wife a Piker lol, as she is tea total! Which is actually quite brilliant as I can get hammered every time we go out

And then just tell her how to drive on the way home

I'm sure most of these parts are same as any other rs? They could store it for a year strip it and sell the bits that don't stand out as being from rs1800. Unfortunately. Or sell it overseas to a collector that won't get it out to show his stolen goods.

Either way hope it comes back.. Heard about the drift car that people on Retards Club found stolen? Was on watchdog

Not posted on here before just an avid watcher usually but this has me worried, how can are these people keep stealing these cars so easily what can we do to keep these cars from being stolen? it seems that they get to them whatever you do! It is making owning a classic ford less enjoyable

I feel sorry for the guys that lose these cars, but on the other hand I find it incredible that people spend thousands upon thousands of pounds on the car yet wont fit something like a tracker which only cost a few hundred quid at the most.

Even an insurance approved system like a Smartrak, cobratrack or similar are less then £300 installed plus a subs payment of £160 per year or less then £400 for life or as long as you own the car.

Hence my comment earlier. BUT we have ALL seen drivers of 50-60k plus motors on the phone when a Bluetooth kit is either std on their motor or a VERY low cost upgrade!

Tracker it is then lol it is worrying to think there are people out there who dont give a shit about stealing them, also means another one off the road now
